I'll say this- I would NOT want to be on the run from the authorities in North Korea. No fucking way. But then again, if I was in North Korea, I'd off myself.

Well, you have to remember than an average North Korean makes about 1000 euros per year, so it's probably pretty big sum of dough for them.

Pull a James Bond and hop over the border, likely in a hovercraft whilst killing off many ill-trained conscripts.

They'll never get his riches then and he can live a life of luxury with his equivalent of a small gameshow winning prize.

That's a nice chunk of change for North Korea.

There goes the funding for their atomic progrom
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

Meanwhile at Chase Manhattan, someone goes around to all the chairs and sofas in the building and finds about 40,000 dollars in change under the cushions.

40 Riesen?

That's nothing. Even I have 20.000 on my account, so that is really disturbing, that they mourn over such a sum.

Fools, its not like there's anything to buy in the country. As for the manhunt, the security forces don't have much else to do.

Except take bribes to look in the wrong place, and find some poor bloke in the wrong place at the wrong time. Money talks stolen or not.

40K in a national bank and a nation wide manhunt? Sad.

How exactly do North Koreans even sustain themselves?

They use the sheer hatred of the rest of the universe as a pure energy supplement. Technically, they shouldn't starve ever.
