What are those yellow stars?

You know, those little yellow stars that you see under your name on this board? Yes, I know this sounds stupid, but I never figured out what they were, or why some people have one star and some others have four. It seems to loosely have to do with how ill-regarded someone is but I'm not sure.

The Announcement forum is sometimes helpful.

They reflect how long you've been here. No stars being the lowest, and four stars being the highest.

Sorry Kaz, its in the announcements forum. The stars represent length of time on teh baord so its a quick way of judging seniority
