PC or console (Preferably console though, since i'd rather pay six bucks to rent it, but if it's a real good PC game i'll buy it)
Absolutly no paper RPGs, i hate those things.

The best one I've played is Arcanum. Then there's Baldur's Gate 2 plus expansion, and the Fallout series.Darksider wrote:Enigma wrote:For PC, console or paper?Darksider wrote:I feel like playing a couple of RPGs. Know any good ones????

Morrowind's decent, but nothing earthshattering. I'll admit I'm slightly below recommended levels (I have an 800mHz, 192mb RAM. They recommend 800mHz, 256mb RAM), but it lags horribly on my computer (and has frozen three times in three hours just switching locations). It may be due to that, but the choppiness gives me a headache (does the same on my roomie's 1.5gHz, though, so it's probably not just my computer). IMO, 8/10 (I'm in a generous mood tonight).

Im playing Fallout for the second time. It is a great roll playing game, it does seem to have some annoying quirks. Im not sure if they are fixed by the v.1.1 patch or not.Chardok wrote:Fallout, just classic. I Love it.
Also, A good one is Morrwind and the expansion pack. that'll keep you up for days!
But anyway, you should be able to find a copy in the bargain software sections of stores for real cheap.
PS: The game takes place in a post holohaust world. No elves.

Im more of a rifle or smg person. Actually, this time around in Fallout Im trying to see if I can fight at little as possible.DPDarkPrimus wrote:Play Fallout or else I will come after you with my laser gatling gun.
Im only level 3 or 4 but my speech skill is 81% which seems to help a lot. At least I get some cool dialog options, but there is no way Id pick some of the really insulting ones.
--edit---
PS: Oh yeah, I just looked up the voice actors on Fallout, I could have sworn one of them is Col O'Neal ( Richard Dean Anderson ). And he is in the game, I was also surprised to see that Tony Shalub and Cree Summers are in there as well. Cree Summers is less surprising , but they hired some respectable talent.

Arcanum is really nowhere near as good as the fallout games and the BG series. It plays like the developers didn't even bother to test the game for balance in combat.Enigma wrote:The best one I've played is Arcanum. Then there's Baldur's Gate 2 plus expansion, and the Fallout series.
Planescape Torment would be the game I recommended the most.

Best role-playing games? I personally like the one where the girl dresses up as a French maid and pretends to be cleaning your room, but you notice that she didn't make the bed so you decide to "punish" her with a good spanking.

I'll have to agree; from what I've read, that's the best style of RPG, electronic or non-electronic, dice or no dice.Darth Wong wrote:Best role-playing games? Single-player is kinda lame, though. Not enough variety.
By His Word...
