Hamel has a disturbing obsession with butts and penises.

Anyway, is this our entire mp3 collection or just what we're listening to now? Cause I have lots of about two hundred or so mp3s but only have a few of them on at times on my playlist.

O_O wow std, 1500+ tracks on your winamp play list  . For me at least, that's a lot considering mines only has about 200.

Whatevehs in your playlist

If you want to put your ENTIRE collection in the list, I care not

My playlist isn't close to my entire collection, just what I consider the best

I never understood the idea behind making a big-ass playlist. I never want to listen to that much music in one sitting, and scrolling through a playlist is less convenient than navigating my music folders when it comes to looking for music.

Though I one time entered all 10000+ mp3 files on this hard drive into a playlist just to see how many hours it was (it was over a week, IIRC), I don't really do playlists.
Instead, I add 1-10 songs in at a time, and when they're done, I grab some more.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

What, I'm not trying to steal anybody's glory or anything: that's seriously what my playlist is.

I don't want to waste time looking around for specific songs to put into a playlist, so I just make my entire collection my playlist for conveiniance.

Besides, it helps maintain variety by preventing me from continuously picking the same songs each time. Here I just scroll around and click on something.

Yeah, that's also a good idea. Course, the "shuffle" option is used frequently at my desk. :P

Right now my playlist is sorted by genre and artist.

It was a compliment on your sweepstakes

Until recently, I browsed through 11 cumbersome folders to get to my mp3 collection. Like you, I wanted variety and some mixes~

Then I utilized my s-video out cable to use my television as a second desktop, dragged my winamp windows over there, expanded my 'best-of-the-butt' playlist, and had a blast

*Grin*

My current playlist is 4 songs:

The Untitled (In The End) by Linkin Park
Everyday by Bon Jovi
Stop by Matchbox Twenty
You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi

when I actually have time I'll generate a playlist, but I'm still ripping CDs (just got a Chinua Hawk CD that I haven't even listened to yet).

Ruby Horse - Sparkle
Duncan Sheik - On a High

Sometimes it's just one song on my playlist, when I feel like just listening to that one song.

Einy, I can host your playlist....

I have ~2500 songs on my hard drive, and I usually have them all on one big-ass playlist, but I lost t3h list. I could give you some really small mood-specific ones...

I don't do playlists.

I like listening to albums. Some are on my hard drive for convenience, some not.

They're all purchased legitemately, or released for download by the artist.

Here's a dump of two of my music root directories.

I don't typically listen to my stuff in a giant playlist anymore, and usually just queue up a CD, series or game's worth of tracks.
