I wouldnt be suprised if there are rough instructions on the construction of primitive nuclear weapons too.

It isnt the knowlage, but the ingridents that are the really kicker to get a hold of. And not killing yourself while trying to biuld the stupid thing(any explosive or weapon).

Yeah, they exist, and I know that the allies used them to destory some German artillery tubes around the invasion of Normandy. Some guys at my dorm actually made some, but luckily for us they did it in the basement.

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.

If you really want to know pick up an old Edward Abbey novel called "The Monkeywrench Gang" it contains the rescipies for quite a few "Low intensity" terrorist cocktails. Erm, said book can still be found in most libraries, and in any national park bookstore! (and if Ashcroft is listening, good luck interrogating Abbey he's was left out in the South Western Desert to be consumed by animals almost ten years ago.

Come to think of it, investigate that succer "Pierce" who wrote the Nazi terrorist manual disguised as fiction instead at least that one is still alive.

Besides demolition work, there also extremely good as triggers for improvised firebombs. You tape one inside an empty ammo can and have a small hole for a pull string running to the pin, and then you fill the can with diesel fuel and gasoline. Throw the result on the engine deck of a passing enemy tank. The tank wont be moving for much longer.

Ah, Thermite....

That brings back so many memories of me at 17 with my friends....

The time we melted a car with it

Discussions for using it to make 'Fireballs'...

Igniting it on big rocks...

Melting a fence post with it....

Such memories....

There's also the good old fashioned army Improvised Demolitions manual, available at your local surplus store.

Most of the sites I was reading last night (in an attempt to figure out what the maximum possible yield of a nuke is) also included the generalities of how one is constructed.

On an incidental note, Mike's Hate Mail page comes up in a Google search on nuke yields, around the 3rd or 4th page of results. :)

There is no answer to your question, as you could keep adding stages basically you ran out of material to build the thing with. Though I suppose at some point the resulting weapon would physically be unable to support its self.

Thermite is fun. Played with it all through high-school chemistry. And used it on a wrecked car once to test just what it can do.

Five inch automatic guns have proved an effective deterrent to motor gun boats in the past... Course, if you just got attacked by twenty Romeos at once that might not be working.
