I've its generally good with some very funny episiods, the heart attacks make me burst out laughing.

I catch it occaisionally. It's much funnier than some of the sitcoms that are on FOX, ABC, NBC, etc. nowadays.

Sheer brilliance and captured some of the racial elements that I remebered when I was a kid growing up in the 70's. Some of it is a little dated, but the jokes are still hilarious. Red Foxx was a brilliant comedian.

One of the local channels where I'm at has reruns of Sanford and Son and All in the Family on late nights.

As a kid I didn't get the humor when I was growing up watching them, but as an adult I find them to be some of the funniest shows on these days :D

I never did like S&S. I watched it everyday for a week after I tore my knee all to hell. I was high on painkillers and it still wasn't funny.

I'm assuming yes, because I thought it was Steptoe and Son for all of 10 seconds just now.

Was this "steptoe and son" about a black man and his son who owned a garbage dump?

Nope. it was about a white man and his son who owned a garbage dump.

I checked it out, and Steptoe and Son was where they got the idea for Sandford and Son. Still, Sandford and Son was funny as hell. I think Nick at Night, or TV Land still shows the reruns.

You know what's ironic? But Red Foxx died on stage of a tv show he was doing of a heart attack. From what I read at Snopes, it took a while for people to realize that he wasn't faking.
