What we need is for a federal court to rule that unwanted spam constitutes a $1.00 harm to the recipient. Do that, and the class-action lawsuits will appear out of nowhere and annihilate all spammers in the nation, followed by the companies that employ them.

Such a law would probably be overturned in the US. The spammers would say that it "violates the right to free speech." Just like what the what the telemarketers are doing.

Heh, on the topic of spammers, some hardcore spammer in my country (New Zealand) who sent millions of spam messages a day (I think), retired, due to someone releasing his personal information on the internet, and he kept receiving death threats.

There was a major spammer whose address got out onto the Internet after an interview, and lots of people started spamming the fuck out of his house... with snail mail. Catalogues, magazines, etc... IIRC he literally had tons of junk mail after a while.

The hilarious irony was that he had no comprehension of how what he was suffering was somewhat how what he did to others. He could not make the connection.

No sympathy for him.

Or you could have them chained along the streets and let all by-passers kick the shit out them. Or maybe we could have them eat the uncooked guts of other spammers like some pirate did to his prisoners

That would suit them right!!

And why can't all those fucking virusmakers out there get some brains and start making viri that just attacks spam-servers and such? Everyone would love that! The one who would make it would be a world hero!! Perhaps a virus or a worm that seeks through all your mail and indentifies the spam, removes it, spread to the spammers adress and kills the computer.
