Did you believe that Saddam had WMD.
Simple question.
At the beginning of GW2 did you believe the statements by GWB and TB that Saddam had WMD.

What?! No "I didn't care at the time." option?
Frankly, I don't even remember what I was thinking back then. IIRC which is unlikely, I was rooting for Saddam to just get the fuck out.~Jason

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
No.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

I figured they probably had something stashed away in the sands. I also didn't really care.

I beliefed that he may or may not have had some WMD left over from he's pre-GW1 projects. I did not belief that he was developing or building new ones or that he had the capability to effectively deploy the weapons he might posses or that he was actively pursuing the means to do so. So I don't quite know whether I should vote yes or no...
I think I'll vote no, since I didn't bealief what Shrubby said and I didn't consider the few weapons Iraq might have had to pose a note worthy threat anyone.

No, for a couple reasons.
If he'd had them, and the U.S. government knew about it, they would have plastered incontrovertible proof everywhere, instead of merely re-hashing Saddam's career the way they did to paint him as the naughty boy.
He probably would have used them, somewhere, somehow in the intervening years between GW1 and 2.

No, there is no evidence to support that conclusion. If he had them, he'd have used them when our troops came knocking. As it stands, his country was living under economic sanctions and his government and military crumbled so quickly that it'd be a big surprise to me to find out that they kept a weapons program going that was anything resembling a threat to this country.

I figured he probably had chemical weapons left over. I always figured the thing with bio and chemical weapons are more about willingness than ability to use. All you need is a herd of goats to create a good amount of anthrax. Creating chlorine and mustard gas is turn of the century tech. Of course, when they weren't used I got just a teeny bit suspicious...

If it were a quad post, they'd all say the same thing. Do they say the same thing, or is one of them a request for several of the others to be deleted?weemadando wrote:I know that, I was merely taking the piss. Damn a quad post, haven't seen one of those for ages.

I thought he might still have some chemical weapons left over, but I never bought the nuclear threat for a microsecond. The stench of bullshit was strong around that one.

Yes, this is true. There must be differentiation in this thread between chem-bio and nuclear weapons.

Chem? Maybe. Bio? ...Does having his Elite Guard piss in the Tigris all at once count?
