BTW, I haven't watched ED2 in a long while but I remember at the end he's surrounded by the medieval warriors (apparently about to capture him) some pterodactyl demon comes and he shoots it with his boomstick. Then all the medieval guys start in awe and kinda like worshipping him. Then it ends (he screams or something) but in the third movie the boomstick & worshipping part never happened. (they just hit him and chain him and that's that)

Yeah, AOD disregarded the very last moments, like i said before. One of the plot points from EDII was the Medieval legand from the Book of the Dead about a man from the sky who was to deliver humanity from the deadites--the accompanying picture actually depicts Ash himself being worshipped but he doesnt realize it at the time. Thats how EDII is able to remain a downer--he ends up being trapped in the Middle Ages while the peasants worship him, and the last shot of the film recreates the drawing from the Book of the Dead. AOD quietly erases this little plot point and restarts from when him and his Oldsmobile crash to the ground (with the accompanying safety mat clearly visible in the frame of course ;) ).
I'll swallow your soul!
