Are you a Vegetarian ?

Post by Sarevok »

No I am not a Vegetarian in a strict sense. Since I am a muslim I have to eat beef on certain religous occasions. However I never ate chicken since I was eight. I do occassionaly eat fish. As for beef I very rarely eat it. Pork is haram so I never ever even touch it.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Nothing from a dead animal. Aborted chicken embryos are the closest I get to meat.

No geletine, animal rennet, fish, anything.

And before you all start, yes I'm healthy, thank you very much.

I'm not a vegetarian, I don't eat great amounts of meat though.

Not a vegetarian.

Although the express foodline here at Iowa doesn't always have the best selections of meat: usually ham (which can be boring) or turkey and american cheese (blegh) sandwiches. A few times a week they'll have stuff like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken or fish sandwiches, but I don't get there often enough for those.

This week I picked up some sandwiches that have a currently unidentifiable meat, maybe beef/turkey mix or something. Kinda odd.

I mostly only can get good meat on weekends when I go visit home...

I have been a vegetarian off and on for about 7 years (more on than off) but I fell off the wagon when I came to China, the communication barrier sort of cramped my food choices so my health started to suffer of course it could have been the pollution as well.

I eat meat, and enjoy it... but that's just me. (good steak is currently one of my favorite foods right now) I don't eat meat all the time or anything, but I certainly wouldn't call myself a vegetarian

I will most likely die with a burger.

I enjoy a good salad and do keep a healthy enough lifestyle...but I dunno, beef is something I find hard to part with.

I have no qualms about eating anything (to a certain extent of course) but I do keep as balanced a diet as I can. I like meat. I like the taste of it and I have gotten cravings for some dishes from looking at the live animal.

For those who weren't there in time, Spanky's possibly referring to my now-deleted caveat "please, no comments about Lovecraft's diet."

Although I am not a vegetarian, I usually do not eat a large amount of meet. I can’t stand pork and chicken is not one of my most favorite things. Beef, on the other hand is a favorite. Generally, I used to stick to pastas and veggies. My partner and I used to run eight to 10 miles four days a week and that combined with my bad diet got me down to 108 pounds and I got a little sick this summer. So now, after being needled by my partner, dad, friends, doctor, and dietitian, I’m back on a balanced higher calorie diet including lots of beef and chicken. I’m back up to 118 with another 10 pounds to go.

I'm a good old fashioned food hoover, if I can be fairly sure it wont kill me or make me deathly ill, I'll eat it.

My gf on the other hand is a vegitarian who doesnt like vegetables....this leaves pasta, pizza and chips.
