HAIFA, Israel - A Palestinian woman blew herself up in a crowded seaside restaurant at lunchtime Saturday, killing 19 people including three children. It was one of the deadliest attacks in the past three years, prompting new calls for Yasser Arafat's expulsion

WITHOUT COMMENTING ON THE RELATIVE MORALITY OF ISRAEL AND PALESTINE (which is a moratorium subject), I would just like to comment that I find it interesting how the media invariably says what an Israeli military strike is "in retaliation for", but they never say what a Palestinian suicide bomber's retaliating for (although Reuters and CBC reported it, even if the Washington Post did not).

At this point it seems like it's a case of Palestinians retaliating for Israel's retaliation for the Palestinian's retaliation for the Israeli's retaliation... ad infinitum.

Hmm seems that Israel's strikes do create more militant enemies for them, perhaps it would be time to rethink those strikes.... or they could just attack another nation and create even more ill will, either is fine I guess.

Staying on the objective side, it's possible that it is because the United States does have better political connections with the government of Israel than it does with the myriad Palestinian militant groups. It's far easier to call up Israel and ask "Why'd you do that," than it is to first find and then call the various Palestinian groups and ask the same question. It's more a matter of sources and laziness on the part of the American Media than anything else.

So Reuters have some kind of hotline to the office of palestinian terrorism that the US media companies cant get access to?

Keeping it objective, let me remind you that it's a lot more dangerous to live in a lot of places in the USA than it is to live in Israel. The media hypes this crap up like nothing else.

Keeping it objective(), I'd like to see some figures for places in America where, adjusting for population size differences, 950 people are killed at random, and at least once a week, by an organization devoted to the total eradicatation of their people. The KKK isn't as big as it used to be.
Note: To keep this from being locked. please remember that I am only referring to the organizations such as HAMAS, which do seek to remove Isreal from the Middle East.

Or perhaps the figures for the American military firing missiles into residential neighbourhoods in Chicago, etc. I knew some jack-ass would ignore the warnings and try to turn this into yet another Israel/Palestine thread.

Don't be an idiot. Even after an admonition not to tread over moratorium ground, you chose to do so anyway. Thread locked.
