What could make it even better is if you suddenly imagine B&B sitting just off camera trying to direct the action and tellign Mark Wahlberg that his turn to drop trough and get in on the action will come once they can figure out how much they can screw with the continuity of a single porn movie.

I have literally read libraries of SF/Fantasy. I have never to my memory encountered anyone quite so bad as Jordan... well, possibly A.E Van Vogt or Kristine Kathryn Rush.

Goodkind is worse than Jordan. Far, far worse. His writing is shitty beyond belief.

I do not particulary like Jordan either, but at least he makes some sense.

His books are simply the distilled ravings of a person who can't concieve a world outside of his own stunted middle-class existence, and thus futilely tries to reshape Tolkien's work to conform to his present-day paradigms.

I don't think they are that bad; I don't honestly see that many paralells between him and Tolkien either. I mostly consider it an average 'epic' slain by money-milking.

Goodkind, on the other hand, every single author on the poll wrapped up into one. Plus Jordan.

Graham Kennedy. I was filled with rage in a way that has only happened a couple of times to me while reading before, and I still haven't tried to read past chapter 2.

Oh god, if David Brin ever wrote a SW book I would shoot myself. Mind you, as a writer he is not terrible, but his plot for Episode III was ridiculously poor. I didn't even like his other books that much, but if he wrote a SW book it would be terrible as he has no concept of theme or epic in his books.

But he's a real SciFi writer unlike that imitator hack Lucas who doesn't understand that true Sci-Fi is all about the jingonism, screw depicting fancful far off worlds of futuristic technology. Certainly that makes Brin the most qualified to write an NJO book.
