Macross Monster
Hello! I slapped this together last year and recently found it while digging through folders. Have a look!
Hmm....looks better at higher res, though.

If they managed to fire without ripping themselves in half or knocking themselves over, then it certainly would be impressive.Chardok wrote:ME LIKEY!
WOW! That's excellent! The realism is there, too! (I mean it LOOKS real...not plausible)
But Damn...how cool would it be to have a division of mechas like that stomping through baghdad?
*Points to sig* Yes, I like the monster.

Aren't those Mechas' suppose to be bigger? I know they are suppose to be at a great distanze but they don't have this SIZE intimidation they usually do. That big one is twize the size of a Zentradi Battlepod aren't they?
Well anyway I do like it a lot. It would give the Iraqi Bagdad Bob something new to lie about. "We have crushed the infidels"

Not very, since once burning piles of them block the streets the M1's and M2's would have had have a hard time getting around to engage the enemyChardok wrote:ME LIKEY!

IIRC, Monsters are long range support mecha, hence why they have four 30mm cannons and three g-g missile launchers in the arms.Sea Skimmer wrote:Not very, since once burning piles of them block the streets the M1's and M2's would have had have a hard time getting around to engage the enemyChardok wrote:ME LIKEY!

EDIT: Regarding size, the HWR-00-Mk.II Monster is 22.46 metres tall.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

The first looks like a Defender and the second looks like a Tomahawk.Kuja wrote:*squints*
What are those other two in the top right corner? I can't make them out.

Presumably you meanr four 300mm rifles and three surface-to-surface missile launchers (Unless you're talking about the Robotech varient with 406mm rifles and launchers that may fire SAMs or SSMs).Spanky The Dolphin wrote:IIRC, Monsters are long range support mecha, hence why they have four 30mm cannons and three g-g missile launchers in the arms.
However, there are more than one type of mecha in a division, so if sent a division through Baghdad, it still holds, more or less.

I don't know what the name of the mecha is, I just know the pic looks really cool. even the shadow and heat wave effects are good. I'd like to see more photoshopped pics like that RE: Gulf War 2. That would just own. I would put a different one on my desktop every day. I've always liked the ida of gigantic robots fighting in a city. One trying to destroy said city, one trying to protect it by tossing around the other giant robot, which ultimately destroys the city. and the people thank the good robot for it. Always fun!

We've already been calling it the Monster for some time. Shit, I even identified it as the HWR-00-Mk.II Monster.Chardok wrote:I don't know what the name of the mecha is, I just know the pic looks really cool.
