Welcome to the twenty-first century, where even politicians who can't pronounce 'underestimate' without fucking up can have a website.

But I kid the cowboy. Sitewise, it's slightly above everyday Blogfare, with decent layout and graphics, and some links. But this is the President of the United States! To be honest, I expected more than just 'slightly above the kid who blogs between classes'. But I suppose we can let this pass.

The biggest letdowns are:

1) No Bush. We're lacking Bush here. No posts from the man himself that I could see, so our vital supply of Bush-isms is down. This really is a letdown; with Bush's lack of interaction with the mainstream media, when I heard he had a Blog site, I was hoping he had opted to go for a less-traveled path. But it seems to be mostly editorials drawn up by interns and the like.

2) No comment feature. What has, in many places, become a fundamental part of BlogSites is missing here.

Beyond these complaints, there's the actual content. Sadly, this is mostly self-congratulatory stuff on the recovery in Iraq and Afghanistan. A cursory post on the Leak has been made, but the overall feel is a place to find the Administration's 'spin' on the recovery efforts.

Overall, it's below average, and I was hoping for more. Oh well.

Way to rip off of Dean
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

The prize for 'Most blatant ripoff of BlogForAmerica' still belongs to General Clark, from what I hear. I've not reviewed the site for myself just yet, but apparently he's ripped it off right down to titles for regular postings.

That's even more pathetic, kakakaka

Politicians can be such posers at times

Bush's blog aint even a fucking blog. Nothing there is bush's actual thoughts or words. It's all "Mr. Joe Blow from this magazine says this:"
Sì! Abbiamo un' anima! Ma è fatta di tanti piccoli robot.

Nobody has yet provided sufficient evidence that Bush actually has thoughts. ;)

To be fair, most of the posts on blogforamerica are done by Joe Trippi, Zephyr Teachout or somebody else like that other than Howard Dean, but Howard does occasionally show up.

Indeed. I just wanted the occasional Bush post, though. Dean doesn't epically trip over the English language in the same way. We demand Bushisms!

Hmm... Do you suppose, then, that the reason Bush doesn't post is because his command of written English is as spotty as his command of spoken English?

Is it possible that the coke really did cause him brain damage?
