Do you have anything new to say, you crazy man? Like a new betatest version or an evil plot or anything?

There's a new build up for playtesters, but we already know that. More stuff has been implemented.

PHONG!!!!!!!!! What have I told you about leaks?! :P

Don't worry, folks, I'm not going to make the game hard. Much.

Anyway, hop to it, playtesters, yet another new build! I'm going to bed now. Got a lot of work to do before I go back to work Saturday. :(

Steve! Nostradamus says things more specific than my leaks! Besides, you have to work the Hype Machine for when this game comes out.

Oh, a suggestion. If you freeze development for a few days, I can look over the code and try and get stuff to work better (like your party size handling code) and I've come up with a way for concurrent levelling system that seems to work.

A few more screenshots. :)

First, some examples of the firepower to be found on the HAB's island fortress and HQ. :)

And now, your first look at the makeover given the Duchess of Zeon compared to her bit part in Attack of the Trolls.

Steve...

fellow Floridian...

buddy...

is there any way at least a minor reference or useless NPC can be thrown in with reference to me :D ?

edit: found a small glitch. In the R'Ast pub, you can walk through the right side of both sets of stacked barrels. The one on the right just allows you to walk up to the wall, but the one on the left lets you walk to the top of the screen.

That looks suspiciously like a mecha, unless it's on a fixed pedestal mount.

She really should have a pike, polearm or something on those lines, not a bow.

No, I wasn't back yet when Steve started developing this. I just downloaded it from Dalton's site, and noticed that (although I'm not sure what version's up on that page). Figured I'd mention it, just because it was one of those minor things that most people wouldn't notice (who actually tries to walk through walls?)

Ah, because I wasn't aware that RAST was in the demo build.

EDIT: Oh, I see. You downloaded AOTT, not Steve's game, which is FFTFM.

Oh, I see. My mistake. I got confused by some of the posts, thought the one on Dalton's site was FFTFM. Never mind :D .

Well, after reading more of this thread and relizing I still have AotT on my hard drive I decided to play it again. Beat it in a couple of hours, so two things I'm hoping for.

One that it comes out soon and two that its longer that AotT.

It's longer. That I can guaruntee already - I routinely start new games and play straight through, knowing all the tricks, and it still takes quite awhile.

Damn it, I forgot how to get the raft in AOTT...

The game's about 7-8 hours long currently, by my own estimation.

It's the GUARDIAN from Final Fantasy VI! I gave you the nastiest, most lethal piece of hardware in that game! The weapon that tells you immediately that you've gone somewhere you're not supposed to be because it beats you worse than a M1A2 against a Locust BattleMech!

Of course, you can beat it in FFTFM. Just... be careful. As you can see from the screenie, poor Phong got beaned for over 75% of his HP with one shot.

And did I mention that shot hits all characters for damage?

Marina has guns. Thus, in this setting, she has the next best thing: crossbows (with her Ultimate Weapon being the Bow in that screenshot).

I've never played Final Fantasy Six..

Good, then you can be forgiven for likely not including the HAB Autonomous Automatic Atomic Artillery Assault Amphibian Vehicle or AAAAAV.

But she dislikes the bow among medieval weapons, yet loves pikes. Just doesn't seem right.

A Sumner-class destroyer with treads hardly counts as an amphibian!
