Sorry, but I just thought that i'd mention that any form of civilization which includes 'Honour Killing', mutilating thiefs, and banning alcohol is quite a bit crueler than present day western civilization.

To the 'New World', and by default the New World Order, the Arab/Muslim world is backword in its values.

The Sheriat allows abortion within the first three months of pregnancy, including for reasons of preserving the cosmetic appearence of the woman. That's just the first example of how I could shred that article.

That actually WOULD benefit western society. Atleast their fundies support some form of abortion, while ours kill to prevent it.

Actually, that only happens in America. In the E.U we don't have that problem (or pretty much any other fundie related problems).

At the beginning, the article was pretty well written, unfortunately, you could start to tell that this article was a bunch of BS when he started talking about the "Nationalist Cabal" of the US and UK, and saying that Israel was with them behind the scenes, as well as his calling the Occupatied Territories "lebensraum."

True, but mostly because when the Arabs invaded portions of Europe they destroyed all the libraries. Their scientific developments were derived from Greek works (which is why Aquinas had to learn Arabic to read Aristotle...the Arabs had every copy that was written in Greek). Indeed, Christian and Jewish persons living in Arab-controlled territories were often required to translate books from their native languages to Arabic so the Arabs could then destroy the original version to prevent anyone else from gaining by it.

Arab advancements in navigation, from the Astrolabe to the compass to the fast sailing ship known as the Caravel made possible the arrival in the New World of the Europeans.

The Astrolabe was invented in 200 BC by the Greeks. The first compass dates to Han dynasty China. The caravel was developed by the Portuguese in the 1400s, and was a very poor ship for long voyages. It was too small to carry adequate supplies, and was already falling out of favor (being replaced by the galleon) by the time of Columbus' voyages. It was really a coastal ship with some deep sea ability, designed to hug the coastlines with its shallow draught and maneuverability.

It prohibits abortion and birth control. They have large families, as opposed to the West, where the average family has only two children. It prohibits usury banking, to which the West credits its own economic superiority. Theirs is a 'closed' society (read into this no sodomy, pornography, gay lifestyle, et al). Theirs is a 'cruel' society (read into this - they do not have people on death row for 20 years).

Sounds like a fairly good condemnation of their society. Oh, wait...these are the things we should like about them? Well, damn. They prohibit free choice, have no conscience for maintaining a population that the environment can sustain, are economic idiots, sexual misanthropes, and legalistic murderers. Is that a sufficient rephrasing to make the difference in opinion understood?

And finally, they will not play the game the way the market wants it played, meaning, they want a just price for their only real source of wealth, their oil, instead of giving it away to the West for a fraction of its worth.

The oil only has a value of what the market is willing to bear. Giving the cartel-created monopolistic competition between OPEC and non-OPEC nations, which drives prices up when compared to a more oligopolic form (oil will never be a free market), it is unsurprising that the West is displeased with the cartel.

Hm. Maybe from the viewpoint of a frothing fundie, but the Bible is clear that the greatest commandment is to love God and to love each other as one's self. Now I'm suspicious of this guy's religious purpose.

The mainstream Protestant groups, led by influential people on the television and radio, may talk of dangers of the NWO and the secularization of the West, yet still openly embrace Bush when he pushes through various pieces of legislation that rob us of our freedoms under the guise of protection from terrorism, as well as the practice of conveniently 'forgetting' about Bush's caving in to the pro-abortion lobby in various instances. So, with the exception of a few pockets of token resistance, there is no one left standing in the way of the NWO except the Arab/Muslim World.

There are no mainstream Protestant groups with "influential people on the television and radio." Every single one is a conservative. This guy's trying to re-orient the political compass with "extreme right" at the center.

Let's see...factually inaccurate, dogmatically incorrect, and theologically reactionary...sounds like a true winner of the Asshat Award to me.

Actually, his blatherings are not that remarkable for a fundie. You obviously haven't read enough fundie bullshit if you find his insane rantings to be a shock. You can tell the point at which it shifts from the "setup" to the "standard fundie rant about modern secular civilization". There's always a different setup, but it's always the same fundie rant at the end.

And what is this guys' problem with "being nice"? Oh yeah, thats right. It means we can't persecute people of different faith's which violates the number one commandment of fundies: everyone but us is evil and must be converted to our way of thought. No more bombing abortion clinics, no more beating gays, etc. I bet he really misses the "good old days" of tar-and-feathering, the rack, draw-and-quartering, etc.
