Reading Imperial Phoenix now. A fairly good yarn. Just one thing is really bugging the hell out of me. The lack of discipline of the Imperial troops. It's almost disheartening.

Any cases in example? Remember, these aren't your spit and polish guys,
a lot of these guys are independent minded thinkers, and it's been almost

I always figured the officers were just acting the way I do among friends,
relaxing discipline a bit. It's not like they don't follow the orders of a normal chain of command, or desert their posts arbitrarily.

Not that many, but he was only in it for a few years and his army was probably the best diciplined in Germany at that time.
