Wasn't the SPECIAL system was apparently loosely based on D&D (though some of the number ranges were different). Hell, IIRC, some of TSR's former employees were among the Fallout development staff (which is not indicative of anything in and of itself admittedly). I thought I'd read an article discussing borrowed/inspirational elements from the D&D system that were used for Fallout.

BTW, did anyone else besides me ever replay Fallout 1 making sure everything happened in the same order and manner as described in the background section of the Fallout 2 Manual? Well, I still took care to make sure that Dogmeat didn't die in the military base, which was a serious pain in the ass.

Speaking of which, if Dogmeat dies in the base in FO1 yet reappears in the Cafe of Broken Dreams and Pariah Dog can be killed yet reappears if you come across the battlefield again, are they aspects of some larger force or concept? Dog is just God spelled backwards. Oooooh, deep!

See now- why on Earth would you want to do a thing like that?

Silly man.

Hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time and since this was my rampage save game (i had alreaady wiped out the Hublogists) it was good fun. It just got a tad annoying with all the civilians trying to kill me.

Erm I can't remember where it was that this happened, but without exposure to a normal radation threat. I somehow got "Irradiated" & "Poisoned" after a sex act. <I haven't been that slutty/diplomatic since the>
