Am I the only person who thinks that photo of Rumsfeld looks really funny?
And this is why you don't watch anything produced by Ronald D. Moore after he had his brain surgically removed and replaced with a bag of elephant semen.-Gramzamber, on why Caprica sucks

Great, more stupid blunders. This "War on Terror" isn't going to be fondly remembered by history, unless future administrations pay a lot of people off...

Wow, old Rumsfeld is trying the Jedi Mind Trick to make people try and forget about this!

That was a pretty dumb move on the General's side. Almost as bad as those "Prayer Soldiers". Even if his statements do not reflect the views of anyone in the government, Muslims in the Middle East will still see it as an attack on their culture.

Yes.

Funny thing is Allah == Jehova == YHWH == whatever-you-wanna-call-the-bloodthirsty-son-of-a-bitch-this-week, so it's more like a holy civil war. Ah well, as long as they don't start killing pagan people again like they did in 99.99999% of judeo-christian history...

Muslims see everything as an attack on their culture. Fuck 'em. Really, they can nuke Mecca while singing "Onward Christian Soldiers" and I'll be okay with it.

Prawn, your a fucking asshole, that is yet again another unfounded blanket statement against a culture that greatly made it possible for you to wallow in your ignorance. Or did they never teach you of the treaty of Tripoli and how the arab world saved the US's ass economically. Made even more ironic by your sig or "No Women, No Children, that's the rules" when you advocate fucking genocide.

One of the first things Bush said after 11/9 (oops, 9/11) was that it was a 'crusade'. I visibly cringed, then.

Ah, that's just it. Chunks of dead people still raining down on New York, and you bitches were worried that the word "crusade" might hurt some poor widdle Muslim feelings. It was a thousand years ago, they can bloody well get the fuck over it.

It's not going to buy you any kind of help from people who think that religion is not a vaid reason for warfare, and who don't approve of tarring an entire race with the same brush.

I have a problem with people so mired in fundamentalism that they're going to be set off by the use of a word which (only in the most literal sense) describes a religious war that took place hundreds and hundreds of years ago.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster

Wrong. In the Middle East, it only has one meaning. A war on Islam.
