Well, they did push Half-Life 2 back, so that should help. Don't forget to pick up KotOR for PC, too!DPDarkPrimus wrote:Grrr... "Max Payne 2"... "Halo" for PC... how am I supposed to have the money for all this?
As for the money, you could get a job...
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Soon, apparantly. The Lucasarts online store has started taking preorders.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

It's not that hard. Starbucks pays quite well for starting, and I'm sure you've got one near you. Failing that, places like McDonald's and Safeway are always hiring. And Safeway pays well too, depending on what you get into...there's a union for grocery cashiers. If your boss tells you to clean up a spill, you can tell him it's not in your job description. And if one of your fellow cashiers cleans it up, you can have the union kick him out for doing more than he needs to.DPDarkPrimus wrote:It's easier to say it then to actually get one.Robert Treder wrote:As for the money, you could get a job...

Believe it or not, there is only one Starbucks within 20 minutes of me. Also, I am not going to work at a fast food resturant. At all.

That happens quite often, it takes a lot of work to make a decent demo, and that can seriously delay the finnal product. Given all the delays Halo for PC already had it seems like a wise move, especially since so many people have already played it on consul.neoolong wrote:Do they normally release the demo after the game is alread out?

It's quite harder than you think. I've applied at almost every establishment in town, and few were hiring. The ones that were hiring have already hired others.Robert Treder wrote:It's not that hard. Really people, when you can't get a night shift job at a gas station, or something at a fast food joint, there's a major problem with the job market.

Labour market problems tend to involve mismatched supply and demand. Sometimes the market has a strong demand for unskilled labour in service industries but nobody wants to take that kind of work (we saw this in Toronto a few years ago). Other times, manufacturing companies are crying out for skilled labour but they can't get it because too many people went to university to acquire useless skills like doctorates in classical history.
For a time, I considered sparing your wretched little planet Cybertron.
But now, you shall witnesss ... its dismemberment!
