Since I live in SW Connecticut, 40 minutes train-ride away from NYC, I almost feel obligated to root for the Yanks but rooting for them is like rooting for the evil empire - its more fun to see them get beaten and the look of defeat on Jeter's face than it is to see them win.

Well, the Yankees have won 26 World Series games, but they still might lose. Didn't they lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks not too long ago? I really don't follow baseball.

Yankees have been to 39 world series, winning 26 of them. Theyve been to Six of the last Eight including this year. DefeatingAtlanta in 96, missing out in 97, defeating San Diego in 98, Defeating Atlanta AGAIN in 99, Defeating the Mets in 2000, losing to Arizona in 2001, missing in 2002, and then there is the ucoming series against Florida.

DEspite the Loss to the Diamondbacks in 2001, The Yankees went 15-4 in their four straight world series appaearances. Including Ten Straight.

After Atlanta went to 2-0 in 1996, the Yankees proceeded to win four straight, their next world series against San Diego they would sweep, and then they would sweep Atlanta in the rematch after that. and they won the first two games agianst the Mets before finally having the streak ended in gm3 of the Subway series.

Fourteen straight wins in the world series, quite impressive ja?

Noy impressive. It is proof the aliens are here and they are conditioning us for the takeover. FUCKING YANKEES
FUCKING JETER! I FUCKING HATE DEREK JETER with every single atom which composes my physical being.

Preditction: Marlins sweep the fucking series. Jeter cries like a girl. Giambi Cries like a girl and admits he's jeter's bastard son. Torre, knowing giambi and jeter are homosexual lovers is clearly torn apart by this, knowing that derek jeter is the product of years of biogenetic research, and is not supposed to show emotion, confronts jeter in the locker room about his feelings. Matsui shows up in a samurai suit and runs joe through with his samurai sword thingy. Jeter, pissed at this, proceeds to kill Matsui by dismemberment, when Giambi approaches from the shadows and embraces derek, to comfort him in his time of loss. While doing that God Is unimpressed and liberates their souls from their earthly constraints. while on the way back to new york in defeat, the Yankees' bus is inexplicably turned into a glob of concord grape jelly, drowning the rest of the team and thus ends the yankee "Dynasty".

Fucking yanks. I hate baseball.

Indeed Chardok. What the fuck was up with Fox showing Jeter rooting for people as he wasn't up for bat soon. Yes, Jeter looking blanikly out onto the field defintely helps in my viewing of the game. The only thing worse than that when they were reviewing get strikes and another one was thrown. I was laughing manically as the Vubs were getting there deck swept this week. A solid team defense like the Marlins will destroy all.

Personally, I don't care about baseball, but my dad is a Mets fan, which means he automatically hates the Yankees.
Don't hate; appreciate!

Japan evidently loves the Yankees. When I head over there next year, I must remember to bring stacks of Phillies caps. The savages must be enlightened.

That wont work, They're Yankee Fans for Matsui, and THere is a heavy contingent of Mariner fans for Ichiro. You wanna convert them you gotta sign a Japanese Player, and their league definitely has talent.
