I saw it on Friday, and then again on Saturday, and it keeps getting better.

Kill Bill is an insanely better homage to Spaghetti Western than Once Upon a Time in Mexico was, even though I liked that movie a lot.

The perfect blending of of Blood Opera and Blaxploitation action with Leone-esque style and music (notably the use of Zamfir, and the songs by Santa Esmeralda, Nancy Sinatra, and Louis Bacalov) combined to create the best action movie of all time.
This movie was everything I've always wanted in an action movie.

It also helps prove my theory that if you make an action sequence with a western approach (Leone western more than Ford western), you make it right.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Awww man, I was expecting more killings and blood, and more violence too. Then again I haven't seen so many hacked off limbs in a live action movie, and the fountains of blood were fun. Minor nitpicks, Uma Thurman (or her stunt double) could definitely have used more training with weapons & fighting. She looked rather slow & sloppy compared to the psycho schoolgirl & the guy with 2 swords that she was fighting on the balcony rails, but with the camera angles chosen you don't really notice this unless you're looking for it. Also, if you were in a coma for 4 years, you would not be able to sit up, let alone get out of bed to stab & bash the living shit out of 2 people, realistically you'd be more like Steven Seagal in "Hard to Kill" where he's barely able to lift a cane to push an elevator button. Other than that, fun fun fun!

Yeah, how could she sit up and smash that guys head but not be able to walk? And that whole "I'm Buck, and I'm here to fuck" made me sick to my stomach. If I ever find anyone who ever did someting like that, they'd be beat to a quivering lump of bloody flesh. God, things like that anger me beyond all reason.

I'm pretty sure that the leg muscles are the ones that undergo... whatever the term is (damn, just now forgot it), where they stop working properly without some physical therepy or whatever.

Plus, she's Black Mamba, she's the fucking Bride, man...she'll sit up and kill people if she damn well feels like it. Such is the power of her will.

I guess it wouldn't have worked if she was all atropheid, but Jesus Christ, it wasn't even near realistic.

If you go to a movie expecting realism, then you're probably going to the IMAX to learn about volcanos.

God fucking damnit, she kills two people, steals one of them's keys and sits in his truck for 13 hours trying to walk again, and no one catches her, not to mention all the the over the top blood in the movie and your bitching about realism?

? There's a new trailer than the theatrical one on the website?

Yes. The one attached to Kill Bill is a little bit different than the one on the website.

Why should we care about some trailer for some dumb CGI flick?

The Wachowskis, as I've maintained since the desire to run up walls faded from the first Matrix, can fuck off.

They absolutely could not, ever, concieve of a scene where somone ruthlessly dismembers a hundred fucking people, the the accompaniment of a whole tanker full of stage blood, and then make the entire fucking audience laugh at the end.

Tarantino just did.

Better story, better told.

Uh, actually, when I saw it, the entire audience did a collective "Nooo!" when the end credits started. :P

Incidentally, did Michael Madsen have any lines? I thought I heard that he had a few, but I don't even remember him appearing on screen for any length of time.

Hells naw. He's not willing to die, he just recognizes that he deserves to die. I expect him to put up a good fight...hopefully a gunfight.
