Bwahahah!

We warsies are better because we'd only turn down hot chicks if the Episode III premiere was on! And even then, bugger Episode III if we have a guaranteed chance of getting a root (Aussie for fuck)!

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

Acutally I was already counting the yet to be published (and probably yet to be produced) Episode III.
But now after the Unholy One has been mentioned:
Is it considered canon? Official?

There's a question. I guess you'd have to ask as well...

Is the *coughHolidaySpecialcough* considered canon?

They are official as far as I know. Anything except for the films, the radio dramtixations of the films, and the film novelizations are official or completely discarded.

Since they have not been labeled as discards, they have official status. All three of the Unholy Horrors.

I was including that, there were the two ewoks movies and the hioliday special. To what nameless horror do you refer?

I read an interview with an author (Stackpole, I think).

He said the specical is considered canon, even though they don't like it. He was forced to use the same names for Chewbacca's family or something like that because of it.
Star Trek vs. Star Wars, Extralife style.

It's only official. Stackpole has no authority what so ever to decide what is or isn't canon.

Mike was replying that according to the Lucas Bible, the special is considered canon. What do you guys have against him, btw?

Stackpole (who isn't THAT bad at all) came up with the 'fighters kill capships' bullshit. That, and the X wing books are definately not very well written (I'm not sure if he can do better, but some of his SW stuff is almost as bad as KJA).

despite the fact that this thread has really gone way off topic....

Is the whole reason you despise Stackpole because he doesn't contend to your whole ideal that the Empire should always outsmart the Rebellion because they have better weapons, better armor, etc.?

At least point me into the direction of what you mean by his "fighters kill capships" idea.

Personally I don't despise him although I'm not a paticular fan of him (there are people around here who really hate him).
And it's not that the Empire shall always have everything superior etc.
this 'fighters kill capships' thing just pisses me off *a little bit* because it contradicts the way the capships are depicted in canon.
Oh well as I said it's not THAT bad....
It could be worse....
B&B.... *shudder* :x

FYI, in the entire Stackpole series I can recall only 3 capital ships being killed as a direct result to only starfighters.

Lancer
Strike Cruiser
Nebulon-B

The Vic, ISD, and 2 SSDs were killed through combined arms assaults utilizing fighters, freighters, capital ships, and sabatoge.
