Who the fuck would bet their lives on 50/50 odds? Even a Russian Roulette player has better odds (83% chance of survival per attempt).

I would take it. But I've had an effect on other peoples lives that in many cases is for the better, without me a lot of people would not be the way they are today, I can't do that to them.

How would it affect things that you have done? Would they still have been done, but by someone else, or what?

Every one of my dreams realised against my never existing? COnsidering how often i've considered that second option i'd say i had nothing to lose, in fact i'd be doing myself a dis-service not to try and realise my dreams.

However as my sister has pointed out the coin will backfire for you. Whats the point in realising your wants and desires if you get them not through hard work but luck. That method would only lead to being ungrateful and unhappy.

I don't gamble because the universe is stacked against me. With my luck, I would flip tails five times in a row (assuming I didn't wink out of existence immediately).

So no, I won't take the coin. Fuck, I'm already better off than 99% of the world, why should I gamble that away?

Both alternatives don't sound nice. On the one hand, I have life handed on a silver platter, what's the point in living then? On the other hand, I never exist.

But, and I can't use the term "there's a flipside to the coin", what if it landed on the edge?

Hmm?

flip the coin, catch it in my palm, look at it and then either flip it on my wrist or leave as be if I want.

However I disagree with the Causality loop, if I flip the coin, it lands badly and I never existed then there was no one for the coin to be given to. However because it wasn't flipped doesn't change the past that I was never born, so I can't exist.

But you do exist, and because of that, you know that the coin cannot have landed on tails because you exist and the only viable outcome of the flip is to land on heads.

But the coin hasn't flipped yet. And if the coin flipped, landed on tails and popped you out of existence you wouldn't have existed to think that you existed.

True, the coin hasn't flipped yet. But the fact that you exist shows that you won't flip tails.

If you flip tails, you never exist and you never get to flip the coin.

But you do get to flip the coin, meaning that you do exist, meaning that your entire existence has not been erased from the universe, meaning that you can't possibly flip tails

So does the coin master just give you the things you consiously want or the deep unconsious things as well? Because if it gives you the unconsious things i'd not take it, being an sometime self-abusing depressive i'd hate to see the things my sub-consious could cook up for me. Well if they did land on tails and neverf existe, you would never know would you?

And what if it's a physical gurantee landing on tails causes Space-Time collapse and everyone to suffer a quick, but extremely painful, death?

No, because while as fucked up and utterly worthless my life is at the
moment, I have contributed to the community a lot, see the ASVS
Fanfiction Archive (now ASVS/SDN), I originally founded that in 1999,
along with starting the fanfic flood on ASVS. After Imperial Phoenix
was posted, more people started to write, and it led to this state
of affairs where we have a lot of writers over in our Fanfic Forum.
