SG1, Andromida, or SW would win... who am I kidding, Hunt would try to make peace with the empire, get caught and tortured, Rommie would be killed trying to rescue him and Tyr would go out and drink with the Klingons
Okay, SG1 vs SW- SG1 has tactical training, aerospace training (just thought to mention even if it wouldn't matter hear), battle training in a broad band of enviroments, covert training, training in "taking it as it comes" and "winging it", scientific know how, and a each is equiped with primary weapon, secondary weapon, zat (pain, stun, death weapon), supplys, explosives, grenades, and military situation kits as well as camo.
Leia was only carrying a blaster, camo, and crackers, she also has "tough cookie" perk but shes a princess, not a military warrior
Han only had his blaster, MAYBE a tool kit, camo, and a long line of smuggler experiences to train him to fight with the best of them.
Chewie has natural camo, super strength, a weapon, and practical fighting knowledge...
I'd have to give this to SG1 folks...

Tyr would try to get Chewie in bed, to form a new pride. Hunt and Co will most lively give the Empire as wide of a berth as they can. After two years of being shot at by everyone he's started to develop a sense of understanding that not everyone wants to be friends. That and Stormtroopers look suspiciously like the Genities who they would try to avoid at all costs.Larz wrote:SG1, Andromida, or SW would win... who am I kidding, Hunt would try to make peace with the empire, get caught and tortured, Rommie would be killed trying to rescue him and Tyr would go out and drink with the Klingons

If Han starts shooting like he does in ROTJ, then anyone who pokes their head from behind cover is going to duck back down... with a hole in their forehead from Han's snapshots

Hey ass-muncher, perhaps you didn't notice that unlike the person I was making fun of, I don't jump into "vs" arguments where SW is NOT included and stick it in there just to wank off. Of course SW is an uber-fiction universe compared to ST. And if somebody is dumb enough to claim that a Feddie luxury liner will take out an Imperial warship in battle, I'll point that out. There's a difference between doing that and sticking your nose into a "vs" discussion that did NOT already include your pet universe.gravity wrote:You don't seem to have any trouble doing it with SW vs ST on your main site...Darth Wong wrote: Team Marvel. Wow, I can jerk myself off over uber-fiction universes too!
And according to your calcs/analysis (which I don't necessarily disagree with), SW *is* "uber-fiction" compared to ST.

That last sentence is kind of a 'duh' statement. Cross the galaxy in hours, blow up planets, control a million worlds, and marshal a fleet of superheavies that outnumber all the runabouts in ST. How can it -not- be considered 'uber-fiction' compared to ST?gravity wrote:You don't seem to have any trouble doing it with SW vs ST on your main site...Darth Wong wrote: Team Marvel. Since you snipped the original quote Wong was responding to, you probably didn't realize it was at a comment of somebody plugging some uber-universe (the Culture) in a vs. without being a part of that vs. It was NOT to point out that Marvel is superpowered compared to other universe. It was to point out that doing so is wrooong.gravity wrote:You don't seem to have any trouble doing it with SW vs ST on your main site...Darth Wong wrote: Team Marvel. Imagine you start a thread saying: who wins, the Knight Rider or an Abrams Tank, and somebody posts "He-Man would crush them both."

Hence why you fire from behind cover and keep his head down. Han's accuracy really isn't that great compared to someone armed with an f-lance.Lord of the Farce wrote:If Han starts shooting like he does in ROTJ, then anyone who pokes their head from behind cover is going to duck back down... with a hole in their forehead from Han's snapshots

Team Farscape
Crichton
Aeryn
D'Argo
Team Andromeda takes this. Tyr and Hunt are more skilled than most of the other fighters, and Rommie > Data. Crichton will have some great one-liners, D'Argo will die gloriously, and Aeryn will be her usual uberchick with a gun self.

If we're throwing in random other groups....
Team Netheril.
Lady Polaris(As of Sword Play.)
Flings her Pulse down, frying miles of forest, AT-ST's, and all mortal teams. Engages in drawn out battle with an AT-AT, before repeated strikes from her focused Pulse blow through it's armour.
Sunbright(As of Mortal Consequences)
Takes out Team Trek single-handedly, thanks to monoatomic mithral blade and charms which made magma simply singe his eyebrows.
Karsus(As of his stats in the boxed set)
Lights the entire Ewok population on fire, blows up the shield generator, and turns the Emperor into a small wooden duck before boring of this place and going home.
Otherwise, Team Wars wins.

Team invincible Character shield
John Conner age 10. As a minor from a James Cameron film, he's completely immune to any actual physical harm. Then there's that whole paradox thing which further adds to the impossibility of killing him. Given a baseball bat, several teams are going down..

Storm Trooper moves from cover, falls down less than a second later with a hole in the forehead from Han's snapshot, that's "really isn't that great"? It's pretty much impossible to fire without at least taking a peek to see if your target is even where you are shooting at. And hell, if Han brings along anything half as good as his DL-44, narrow misses will still give him kills.Renewed_Valour1 wrote: Hence why you fire from behind cover and keep his head down. It would be a shot that is well within the capabilities of an f-lance. They have the sensors built in to fire without any aiming from the user and can engage even small targets in that mode. F-lances can on their own either engage incoming projectiles or fire off effectors to intercept artillery barrages. We saw in "All Great Neptune's Oceans" that effectors have more than enough maneuvering capability to be fired without the muzzle of the f-lance facing the target. Tyr's f-lance holstered on his hip fires an effector downward at the floor, the effector stop and hovers to acquire the target before accelerating to kill it. One of Tyr's cruise grenades or smart throwing stars seem to be capable of it to a lesser degree but more vulnerable to personal ECM generators.Lord of the Farce wrote:It's pretty much impossible to fire without at least taking a peek to see if your target is even where you are shooting at..
Depending on what SG1 decides to carry for their weapons they'll probably have a slight accuracy advantage at range against Han. Pistols are optimally meant designed for close quarters combat.
