Tron's not. Some members of SB.com were advocating hacking them or other illegal activities. He clamped down on that as it puts Sb.com in a position where they could be sued. Under the law, they had to do that whether they like it or not.

Plus, it's always been the position of SB.com that they will not allow "invasions" to be planned in their forums. Members were also planning such an invasion.

I did the same thing here. I'm not really worried about these WCOTC fanatics, but allowing people to plan hacking attacks on this board could create problems.

Tron seems to think by "attack", we mean something that's illegal, or at least that's how I see it. He could be just trying ot protect his board, fearing that the s at WCotC would hack it.

On another note: Did you see his post count? He does 60 posts a day, and has about 15 times as many posts as Bean!

I think he's just trying to prevent people from attacking other boards through their site. I don't think he's advocating racism. I just think he's kind of using a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, whereby other people are not supposed to use their site to attack others.

Actually, I suspect that Tron's post count is permanantly at the maximum - 2^16 -1, which gives 65535

i do understand where they're coming from, though i DO think they went a little extreme in handling a few members of the SB.com forums... they should have banned the WCOTC trolls right off the bat when they started riling up the members. i for one got caught in that, i got nicely riled up and posted that i wanted some IPs and e-mail addys from the WCOTC idiot brigade so i could post them on some hacker newsgroups such as alt.2600, i never did specify that I would do it, just that i'd help something happen, though i never did it.

Why bother collecting IP addresses? If the hackers on said hacking groups are any good, it should be sufficient to just throw them a link to WCOTC and let them have at it.

actually the site could NOT get in trouble... i'm still sorely tempted to go and drop an anonomous tip on terrorist activities to the FBI in regards to glock and his merry band of neo-nazi fools, same goes for dropping a hint to the ACLU and some other nice little organizations which i don't really like, but could cause glock and his minions quite a bit of hell.

as for SB.com getting in trouble, there was no way WCOTC could touch the site admins/ISP unless a hacker attack or board invasion happened, and even then in court, who wins? nazis or geeks? that's a no brainer, and it ain't the nazis.

I seriously doubt THAT is why he got banned. I've made similar posts in the past, and I never got touched. If anything, it was for the...detailed posts me made.
