Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne
I just got this game yesterday and WHOA! It's exactly like Max Payne but with a new story and a very polished new engine, I love it!
I just got killed by a falling cabinet too.
Anyone else playing this?

Are there any more tripped-out drug levels?

What?! The bad-dream levels were fucking awesome! The crying baby, and the zoom thingy in the hallway...that was tits, man.DPDarkPrimus wrote:Well, unless I can skip them like I could with my Russian version of Max Payne, I ain't gonna buy it.Embracer Of Darkness wrote:Actually there have been quite a few, and I'm still on chapter one.3rd Impact wrote: A falling cabinet? And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

What I didn't like about the dreams was that one maze where you could go in a loop forever (if you didn't find the correct path) and those crappy blood trails where you fell to your death. If they had just used it as story-telling and removed all the crappy platformer parts, they would have been cool.

Well thank goodness.Embracer Of Darkness wrote:The dream levels I've seen are normal levels with strange colours and stretchyness. No stupid little trails to tip-toe on.

Not exactly, realism is increased in the sense that you can no longer take on as many bad guys at the same time, 3 or so can pose a threat to you.Embracer Of Darkness wrote:I just got this game yesterday and WHOA! The shotguns and D. Eagles are underpowered I think also.
Other than that it's great.

Actually, I can remember taking on a whole mess of guys in the Vodka nightclub the other day. Not three, I'm talking five or six. It's bound to get more difficult too.His Divine Shadow wrote:Not exactly, realism is increased in the sense that you can no longer take on as many bad guys at the same time, 3 or so can pose a threat to you.Embracer Of Darkness wrote:I just got this game yesterday and WHOA! As for the shotguns and desert eagles, that's true, they are. Unless you get a headshot.

Yup, a confirmed more than three bad-guy gunfight.
When I entered this room there was one guy in it, but six more immediately joined him. Screenshot below.
(By the way, one of the corpses is actually just off the left-side of the screen, I couldn't fit them, all in and didn't want to waste my ammo moving one.)
