Can anybody beat Doomsday(Hunter/Prey incarnation)
Is there anybody, Being, or Entity that can bring down Doomsday. Now I'm talking about the Ultimate Hunter/Prey version b/c all the opther storylines after that one involving Doomsday pussify him. Even the Doomsday Wars, which was a fine story, but it did a little more harm than Good to the character of Doomsday. Now Hunter/Prey Doomsday had the Following attributes:
-After Fighting Superman, Doomsday was able to evolve in intants, If someone hit him with a powerful weapon or superpower, He would evolve instantly without going through his comatose state of evolution.(i.e.
-He can actually evolve offensive countermesures to Killing his enemies that Previously Defeated Him. (i.e. The Radiant and Superman) To defeat the Radiant, Doomsday somehow used his energy blasts against him and managed to cut the Radiant in half. To counter Supes advantage in his ability to fly, his bony hand protrusions harpooned Supes and reeled him in. Although, Supes was experiencing his Power increase due to Krytonite X, Doomsday was able wear down Superman at a much much quicker rate than in their previous battle. Thus Leading into...
-No matter how powerful Doomsday's enemy has become, they would still be demolished in a very quick and cruel manner.
and Doomsday also defeated a Green Lantern, stole his ring and wreaked havok all across the Universe. Defeated all GLs who tried to stop his rampage. He eventually met up with the Guardians on Oa (I believe) and they fought to a standstill, however Doomsday was such and onsaught they almost considered destroying Oa. But they managed to get the Ring from Doomsday and he was somehow spirited away to Calaton where He met his first defeat.
Plus his Killer instinct is unmatched.
So who could possibly bring him down for good.
Remember this is Hunter/Prey Doomsday, not the other pussified versions.

I think some of the other heros from the DC Universe might have had a shot at beating him. Green Lantern or Sentinel being the primary choices. Captain Marvel might have done better against Doomsday than Superman's second try at Doomsday just because of the mystical nature of his abilities but really the only ones I can see doing well would be the high powered magic users.
Now, I could come up with some lame comic book way for Captain Atom or Damage to beat him but they'd be pretty lame considering Darkseid didn't take him with full power Omega beams (WTF??).
One thing I never understand when powerful flying heros fight beings like Doomsday (or the Hulk or Juggernaut) is why don't they fly them off planet and stick them somewhere where they can't do any harm. I realize that this is sometimes attempted and usually thwarted but why not try to throw Doomsday into the sun or into Jupiter. Lets see him evolve his way out of that. Heck, Superman should have hit him with the Phantom Zone projector (assuming he still has that in the current DC continuity the last I remember it was broken saving Valor aka M'on 'El).

Wow that is pretty tough to beat... i would say that you would have to go with someone that relies on close combat rather than projectiles. Like hulk or something like that. (no im not saying hulk can beat him). Wow i really need to catch up on my comic stuff. Anyway, are we just talking DC characters that can bring him down or can we recommend Marvel, Image, etc, etc

No Green Lanterns don't stand a chance against him, he nearly destroyed the Entire GL Corps. Magic wouldn't work on him either. Perhaps, unless you're an Omnipotent.Tsyroc wrote:I think some of the other heros from the DC Universe might have had a shot at beating him. Green Lantern or Sentinel being the primary choices. Hummm... im not sure about this one, have you ever heard of Grail from the Image comic Wetworks. The guy has complete control over his living energy (CHI) and can make people explode with a waive of his hand. In addition to that he has an energy field the surounds him 24/7 that nothing can penatrate. I don't think he has ever lost a fight in close combat. But like i said im outdated on my comics, Its very possible something has changed with him

I figured out the DC hero who could have beaten Doomsday PERMINATLY had she been alive at th time of his rampage. Hunter/Prey just confired what I had felt all along. RAVEN of the Titans, could have done it in a walk and it would have finsihed up her evil prophesy loose end that Wolfman never did tie up when he killed her off.
Raven would have just touched Doom's day's mind and her pure love, would have been the balm for Doomsday's evil. They would have boinked like rabbits (Poor Raven, yes Mxylplik confirmed that too was barbed and boneridged). But since this would be a cross spiecies thing they fortunatly would never have kids, unless Raven being the Demon goddess of rebirth, would have the possibility.
Another reason, is that Raven is fated to become the Mate to ultimate evil, it wasn't Brother Blood, why couldn't it be doom's day?

Interesting, I'm not too sure how Doomsday wold fare against that guy. But if he did die and came back then that would be another story.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention, with Doomsday's evolution, his evolved offensive countermesures can actually find any biological weakness any being has and use it to his advantage. Like with Superman, since Superman's weakness is that he can be worn down (after Long periods of time) Doomday managed to wear him down almost instantly.

The "Guy" in question is a "Gal" she was the Daughter of an Outer God, and a human woman. She was prophesized to mate with an Ultimate Evil. Cult Leader Brotherblood tried to rape her, she destroyed him. his essence, dispursed. She died twice before her father came and consumed her, she came back two out of three deaths unfortunatly. She brought changling back from the dead once. Just that her empathic abilities and healing powers would have been brought to their limits being "Married" to Doomsday, on the otherhand knowing a dark angel of pure love would have been too much for doomsday, as his existance would finally be confirmed. He would probly just fuck her until he finally expired forever, and then she would die bringing his child into the world, with both of their memories and powers.

Except from what i know Doomsday has no genitals, the only emotion he exibits are hate, death, destruction, and all those other bad thoughts, all of which are apart of his genetic makeup, due to his ordeal of his creation and death Thousands and thousands of times. Telepathy doesn't work on him either, he has developed countermeasures to even telepathy. Damn is there no being short of being oomnipotent that can kill him for good?

1, It's Empathy, Not telepathy
2. She's a supernatural Creature, Her father is A demon/Outergod or Elder god as it was.
3. She was called a Dark Angel, or reverse Angel. Her abilities are the exact opposite, Love, Compassion, healing, joy. They would neutralize eachother.
Also your right, we only have Mxyzlypx's word that Doomday does have genitalz, and that has never exactly been reliable.

Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet would be as far out of Doomsday's league as Doomsday is out of a 10 year old child's league.
Galactus would find Doomsday to be a tasty snack. (thought it's possible doomsday could actualy stand a chance in that fight).
IF doomsday has a mind (as in is sentient), the Ghost Rider would KO him rather easily with the Pentance Stare. Of course, that's not perminate and it depends on doomsday having a mind....

The Saint of Killers from Preacher would put him down in a heartbeat, but the Saint of Killers can do that to just about anyone.
The Authority working together would almost certainly be capable of taking him down, between the reality manipulation, almost limitless nanotech potential, and city manipulating abilities possessed by its members(If anyone needs full details of their capabilities just say so).
Seth, one of the main villains who kicked the shit out of the Authority twice could do it.
Characters from Fist of the North Star might be able to manage it, especially if they are drawn from the end of the series.
Irresponsible Captain Tylor or Mihoshi could pull it off through pure luck or stupidity.

The infinity Gauntlet is the most powerful weapon in Marvel. Who ever owns it wields unlimited power. Thanos with a snap of his fingers killed 1/3 of the earths population. In battle he killed, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, Vision, Hulk, The destroyer, Iron man, Spider-man, Nova, Cyclops, Scarlet witch, She-hulk, Namor and a host of others with out even trying. He also killed all the gods. It was a badass series. Basically you can kill anyone with but a thought. Doomsday wouldn't stand a chance but then again nobody doesTHEHOOLIGANJEDI wrote:Again, these are all beings that might bring him one, But since Doomsday can evolve instantly to attacks like those (even telepaths), then I'd say they can beat him.LordChaos wrote:Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet would be as far out of Doomsday's league as Doomsday is out of a 10 year old child's league.

Has doomsday been attacked by the pennance stare yet? Or had the energy sucked out of him, as galacticus can do to a planet? If not, then they can beat him if they're powerful enough (don't read comics, wouldn't know)...and while Ghost Rider probably couldn't KILL him kill him (again, from what I've gotten off friends who DO read comics, and the few I have), getting eaten by galacticus probably would be a final death--though maybe that infinite regen would be just the thing to finally settle galacticus's hunger...i.e. make him not want to eat planets anymore, because he's got the infinitely respawning life-force inside him to feed off...

Let's see, Marvel is knowb for their quasi-omnipotent characters so here we go
The Beyonder- Responsible for the Secret Wars
The Living embodyment of Eternity- The name speaks for itself
Death- Thanos had a thing for that chick(yes, death was a chick)
Galactus- If a guy is smart and tough enough to survive his own universes destruction and the birth of the next, he's a bad ass mofo
The Mad thinkers Awsome Android-just kidding
It'll be tough for doomsday to come up with a counter to some of the stuff they dish out

Galactus would totaly destroy Doomsday instantly (all of doomsday's energy would be drained away... to a being that can eat a friggen planet and still have room for desert, Doomsday isn't even an appatizer). No evolving, now combacks, no solution.THEHOOLIGANJEDI wrote:Again, these are all beings that might bring him one, But since Doomsday can evolve instantly to attacks like those (even telepaths), then I'd say they can beat him.LordChaos wrote:Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet would be as far out of Doomsday's league as Doomsday is out of a 10 year old child's league.

The Pentance Stare is a unique and tricky issue. It depends on Doomsday being sentient and having a mind. If he is / does, then it's instant doom, no second chances, no defense. If he isn't / doesn't, then it's useless.
The Infinity Gauntlet makes it's wielder basicaly all powerfull. Period. We are talking INFINITE power. The entire friggen universe is at it's wielders beck and call. It's wielders merrest wish is instantly an unbreakable law universe - wide. As I said, Doomsday is as outmatched here as a 10 year old child is going up against Doomsday.

And, just as a further point about the Infinity Gauntlet... The above mentioned beings (and all other cosmic level beings) are, collectively, nothing more then an annoyance to the weilder of the Gauntlet.... if the wielder permits.spongyblue wrote: The Beyonder- Responsible for the Secret Wars
