Kitchen Knifes

Post by Faram »

Okay today I bought the knive I promised myself a long time ago.

It's a chef's knive from WMF. The blade is 20cm and it set me back 495skr ~ $65

So what kitchen knives do you ppl use?

Don't know, couldn't pay less attention to my knives if you paid me a million bucks. As long as they cut tomatoes without compressing them first, I'm a happy chappy.

:D

*shrug* various non descript knife's from various sources. Oh, and one big one in their right now cooking. Namely...ME.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

You're in the kitchen cooking? What kind of sauce are you having on your keyboard?

Depends on what I'm cookin.
Veggies? A Standard Cheap-Ginsu-Knockoff Chef Knife. It works...
Meat? A (one of many) Small Knife for stabilizing it with while I flip it over on Da Grill. An Ultra-Rare Well-Marinated Bloody Ribeye Steak would fill my carnivorous tummy real good right now too...
Fundies? My Big Black Bowie with Serrated Back Edge on its 13-inch Blade. And yes, it's the sharpest knife in the house!

My father doesnt let me use knives. :o

When I cook I like to use Zwilling J.A. Henchels. They are german and they are as sharp as youll find a kitchen knife. Father almost lost a finger! :o

Several Henckels, a generic boning knife, and a Ron Post custom like the one on the bottom for fruits.

I have two cleavers, a large one, for meat, and a smaller, lighter one, for other things.

From the local Chinese supermarket. Cost about twenty quid.

Chicago Cutlery that I *borrowed* from my parents ten years ago, bread knife I got as a gift because a friend got tired of squished bread, and my favorite, a big old cleaver that's too heavy to use but looks cool.
