Time to emigrate!

Post by Faram »

Damnit it's that time of the year again.

It's snowing outside and the temperature is -3C.

I am seriously entertaining the thought of emigrate to some other country where the weather is better.

Nice view.

From where I'm sitting I can see an episode of M*A*S*H.

How can you handle that?

I can't take anything over 35.

How can either of you handle that? I have circulation so bad I can't type in this British weather.

 The highest temperature measured in Finland EVER was 35,9 °C and that was in 1914. We just had the worst heat wave in history, temperature was as high as 34,4 °C and that was intolerable. What the hell kind of a flaming inferno do you live in?

Man, if you guys think THAT is bad you should come to Florida. Especially north florida. My god, from where I am, the sky is crystal clear. the sun is just beginning to peek over the horizon. we have something like 56% humidity. it's kinda nippy right now at 62F. Later on we are going to be BOILING hot with a high temperature of 72-73F with a light Northwestern breeze. It's expected to get a tad cooler over the weekend, just in time to watch the Titans kick the shit out of the Jaguars. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. It's going to be like this for the forseeable future.

You all quit your whining unless you live in Western New York, temperature ranges for mid-90 F in summer to below 0 F. It's always high amounts of humidity and lots and lots of snow in winter...spring...and fall.

People, I've been all over this great big world, and I seen all kinds of girls, but I couldn't wait...wait a tic...no that's not right okay seriously. I've been in (and slept outdoors in) many climes. I have to say I PREFER to be freezing my ass off over burning fcking hot. Reasons:

Cold:
Need to warm up? Move.
Hands cold? Friction is your friend!
STILL cold? Put more clothes on!
STILL fucking cold? (You pussy) Burn something.

Hot:
Need to cool down? Take clothes off.
Sweating? Tough shit. Now you're thirsty AND you smell bad.
Still hot? Fan yourself with a piece of paper.
That didn't help? (Of course not) tough. Find a lake.
No Lake? Sucks to be you.

Last year, here in jacksonville one night, It got down to 18F (What is that C? like -2?) That's big shit for florida, let me tell you. Anyway, it was the middle of the night (midnightish) and *poop* the power went out. "Man," thought I, "This sucks." I must now put on socks and my sweats, and wrap up in my extra blanket!! Ahh! Toasty! Now, to set my cel phone alarm! There!
1 hour later......
Well, I'm all done reading my chapter of The Talisman, time for beddy bye! (flashlight reading is cool!)
Getting....sleepy...........ZZZzzzzzzzzso.......warm..........zzzzZZzzzzzzz.....

*Beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep*

ewww, time to get up....CHRIST it's 18F in here! I don't wanna get outta bed! Aww fuck it. And...(I shit you not) the SECOND my socked enshrouded feet hit the floor, The power came back on (7:30 in the morning) now....

This summer, the power went out in the night time.

FUCK! no AC! This sucks SHIT! GODDAMMIT IT'S FUCKING HOT IN HERE....*Strips naked, throws off blankey* Goddammit! I can't sleep wthout my arm around my blankey! but it makes me hotter! Shit! I'm sweating like a pig! GOD this sucks shit! CHRIST my Pillow is getting Damp with sweat! Fuck me with a chainsaw! *toss turn*
*beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep*

FUCK! I didn't sleep AT ALL!!! SHITSHTISTHISHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHTISHIT! And That, dear friends is the story of why Chardok likes cold better than hot. Have a nice day!

It's a little nicer down here in Tucson weather wise. :P

Really, Arizona is just now starting to reach one of the main reasons to live here.

Yeah. And where the hell did autumn go anyway? It was unsually hot last month and a week and a half later it's sub-zero temperatures?! No wonder I've caught the worst cold I've had in five years.
Of course, the weather could be weirder. Like New Years Eve 2001 (or was it 2000? Can't remember). -30 degrees C at the stroke of midnight. And ten hours later: 4 degrees above freezing point and 50 % of the snow is gone! That was hella weird! Though I don't know if it was like that up in Stockholm...

I don't like anything over 35, I once went to the snow, and it was some -3C on the ground, I went on a chairlift, that wasn't so bad.
Once out classroom hit about 50C, blistering hot day in a poorly vented brick building that gets sun all day. When 3:06 came I ran like hell for the AC'd bus.

No shit. You never know what the hell's around the corner with WNY. A week can start off beautiful and warm and then bury you in snow before Wednesday.
