WAHOO! New meds!

Yay! So we all know about my problems with insomnia. If you don't.. well... let's just leave it at that I have my custom title for a reason.

Anyhow, I FINALLY got my doctor to give me sleep meds... So now I'm on the following meds:

50-100mg Trazodone (sleep aide)
100mg Wellbutrin (anti depressant)
250-500mg Naproxen (pain killer)
750mg Depakote (mood stabilizer)

Yes, a lot of meds, I know, and now I am taking two meds twice a day, but oh, well. [sighs]

Did you ever try Ambien for a sleep aid? It was pretty effective for me when I was in college.

Isn't that Rx? Anyhow, I told my psych that I NEEDED a sleep aide, and she prescribed me for Trazodone. Besides, given my other meds, it might have serious side effects and interactions.

It says on Ambien that you can't take it with Alcohol because of the riskof liver damage. If you have a script for painkillers already, maybe Ambien would be too dangerous.

I liked it. It made me physically feel like I was asleep. I took it in the middle of the day a couple of times and it completely knocked me on my ass for several hours. If I was in bed already, it never failed to set me over the edge into the realm of hypnos.

As it is, I have a tolerance for them, anyhow.. I need to start taking all 500mg each time I take them. Besides, I'm not *supposed* to drink, either, with ANY of my meds, and I can't take any pain killers EXCEPT Naproxen.
