FFX question
I'm sick today and got the day off from school, so I decided to play FFX. I'm at Operation: Mi'hen, specifically the part with the boss fight against the weird scorpion demon. How the hell do you beat that thing? All of my people (except for Auron, he's level 6 because of the level adjustment his character gets) are between 10-16. It can pretty much take out any party member except Auron in two hits. And heres a more n00bish question, how does Lulu gain spells? In FFIX to gain spells all you had to do was equip an item with a spell you didn't know yet, and after a while the character would learn it.

For the Lulu question- Like all leveling through the Sphere grid.
I can't remember the quick and dry method but I believe you have to consistently strike the head with long range attacks(ie Magic or Wakka's ball)

Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all

The scorpion boss (Sinspawn Gui) can do a mighty buttload of damage.
There are a few things to remember.
1. When it's head starts acting funny, then attack it with Magic or Wakka in order to stop it. It'll cast Demi otherwise.
2. With the head taken care of, have Auron, Kimahri, and Lulu attack the big arms. The arms are armoured, so only percoing weapons or magic make them care.
3. The arms regrow, but don't have much in the way of HP. Keep them killed, because then you can attack the main body (they guard it otherwise)
When it's down to less than 1000 or so HO, bring out one of your Aeons for an Overdrive attack, to net an Overkill, and a healthy AP boost. (make sure everyone takes at least one action.)
If you still can't kill it, then go back and gain sphere levels (try and get enough to have Cura, and even Fira if you're patient).

build up your limit breaks/overdrive before attacking, Especially Wakkas, Aurons, and Lulus, this will give you a huge first trike advantage.
If you want to go silly nutty powerful on him build up the overdrive of your Aeons. They will do lots of damage.
Although I had no problem beating Gui, probably because I leveled up on the miHen oldroad for a couple days or so reaping in the benefits of increased strength. Getting all or most of Tidus' overdrives will make him incredibly useful, and if you get Lulus top elemental Spells (you can do it if you manage your Key Spheres right) to go with her Fury Overdrive.

It's usually best to spend some time training before taking on a boss. In this case, you should train Lulu until she gets her second level spells like Fira and Watera. Magic like that can take out an arm with a single casting!
No conscience. No law. No stopping them....
....well, maybe a Happy Meal would do it.
Ka Anor needs test subjects!
I still think Furlings look like tribbles
