Fix my Kazaa

When I start it I get a simple text box that says "file read error." When I try to download things, they are unviewable after they are finished and show up as "failed" in Traffic. I already tried a reinstall. Help.

Your problem could be cause by a key left over from your previous installation that contained the error.

Solution: remove it and install Kazaa lite instead.

Better yet, when you re-install, tell it that you want to clear all settings and use the default settings.

Uninstall Kazaa.

Download WinMX.

Install WinMX.

Run WinMX.

Problem solved.

WinMX is good, unfortunately it doesn't have the fanbase that Kazaa has. I use both simply because most of the time what doesn't show up in WinMX shows up in Kazaa...and vice versa.
