Netscape vs. Mozilla
I use Netscape was my browser now but I'm thinking about switching to Mozilla. Which of the two is better?

I'm currently using Firebird 0.7.
Between Netscape and Mozilla though, I'll always pick Mozilla unless I'm working on someone else's machine. Mozilla is for people who are at least somewhat computer-literate since I imagine that Netscape tries to make their software idiot-proof.
And, of course, there's the AOL slime that comes bundled with Netscape.

Firebird is Mozilla stripped of non-browser components -- in other words, no mail, newsgroup, composer, or IRC clients. It runs significantly faster due to the loss of bloat, and is recommended if you don't use anything but the browser itself. Mozilla itself is heading for complete separation of its components in the 2.0 version, and Firebird is the start of this.observer_20000 wrote:BTW, perhaps I'm just a bit obtuse, or too lazy to figure it out for myself, but what are the differences between Mozilla and FireBird?
Still not as fast as Opera, though, which is what I use.

And Thunderbird continues it, though I do hope they enable that profile migration soon.Datana wrote:Firebird is Mozilla stripped of non-browser components -- in other words, no mail, newsgroup, composer, or IRC clients. Hmm. One must wonder why one would pay for an ad-free browser when there's a damn good free one, sans adware, available elsewhere.observer_20000 wrote:The free version does.Dalton wrote:Doesn't that come with ad banners?

Huh? AOL uses IE for their browser and even stopped developing Netscape.Dalton wrote:
