Good, the Yankees lost. Time to look forward to the next year's choking from the Braves for me!

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Well I guess we'll just head off into the sunset and go polish our 26 Championship rings. :P

Hey, maybe I'd have sympathy if your team budget didn't exceed that of most Third World nations :P .

This is New York City, what do you expect the revenue would be for them? Same as the Brewers? Pfff. :P~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

From the looks of things in the House that Ruth Built, the Yanks are on the verge of a 1980's-esque breakdown. Don Zimmer thew a tantrum and quit. Joe Torre is publicly and oh so eloquently taking shots at Steinbrenner. Clemens is retiring, Pettite is a free agent. Giambi needs knee surgery Jeter nees shoulder and hand surgery. Wells is old and fatter than ever. The hitting and pitching coaches are on the way out and there is a general malaise encompassing the entire Yankee frachise...that malaise is a growing distaste for "Uncle George" and the joyless miserable management style. I'll tell you it brings such joy to the heart of this Red Sox fan to see such misery and strife in the Bronx. BWO-HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Funny how we can discuss the Yankees rise and falls from World Series heights many times in the last 20-30 years but when it comes to Boston....1918. That was a good year right? :P

Actually, wasn't 1986 better?

I mean, the Mets hadn't won since 69 or something like that right so that series was a bit of a dream match up if where to believe what everyone was expecting out of a Red Sox - Cubs series.

My All Time Favorite World Series Game :D

Unfortunately it was over the weekend so I didn't get to see/hear all the national news media whine/cry about it the next morning. :| I just wanted to hear all the NY news people trying to be upbeat about things after that game.
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks.
