Mac Question
How old would a 466mhz iBook be? And how much did they go for new?

Hmm... I'm of two minds about this Laptop, I could probably get for around NZ$800 which works out to just over US$491 according to the current exchange rate. (although it should be mentioned that working out cost using exchange rates is a little dodgy, before the decline in the US$ it would have worked out to under $400.
What do you think? Would you expect to get $400-$500 for that laptop?

Eh, it's kinda slow, especially if you put MacOS X on it. No AltiVec and no video card capable of OpenGL-acceleration for the GUI.
eBay is showing prices for that iBook in the US$300-400 range, so it looks like that's about the right price. Macs tend to deprecate much more slowly than their PC counterparts.
If you do decide to get it, pump as much RAM into that machine as you can.
EDIT: Looking around eBay, I can see PowerBook G4s for that price range, so do some shopping around and see if you can't get a better machine.
