Anyone know where I can get all the Dahak books? They seem to be out of print.

You can download Mutineers Moon from Baen's free library. I ordered the other two at Hastings.

And probably not in Sweden.consequences wrote:Check any used book store near you if the other ideas don't pan out, you might get lucky. Actually, you would have to be lucky, not much Weber turns up in the secondhand stores.

Dahak is a 40.000 year old battleship or planetoid, about 3000km in diameter or something, during his 40.000 years masqeruading as Earth's moon he becomes sentient too.Bug-Eyed Earl wrote:Never heard of these books. Isn't Dahak a Persian or Zorostrian deity?
He's got enough firepower to vaporize a planet several times over.

I figured that Dahak would not be a god in this tale- but does it say where they got the name? Is that where the name comes from? His Divine Shadow wrote:Dahak is a 40.000 year old battleship or planetoid, about 3000km in diameter or something, during his 40.000 years masqeruading as Earth's moon he becomes sentient too.Bug-Eyed Earl wrote:Never heard of these books. Sure I know about SF. I just happen to live in Malmö, and figured it was a bit of an iffy proposal to go all the way to Stockholm for an out of print book.Faram wrote:A fellow Swede and sd.net nut that don't know about SF Bokhandeln?

Actaully, not much. to the 4th Imperium (where Dahak comes from) , the name "Dahak" is just a tranditional name for the ships , like today's "Enterprise"Bug-Eyed Earl wrote:I figured that Dahak would not be a god in this tale- but does it say where they got the name? Judging by the ship's crest, a Dahak is a three headed dragon creature. I'd guess a mythological creature of some sort but maybe a real creature they stumbled across.septesix wrote:Actaully, not much. to the 4th Imperium (where Dahak comes from) , the name "Dahak" is just a tranditional name for the ships , like today's "Enterprise"Bug-Eyed Earl wrote: I figured that Dahak would not be a god in this tale- but does it say where they got the name?
