I will play devil's advocate. Perhaps he was simply speaking out of frustration. Aren't we all frustrated with the situation? Honestly, who here hasn't joked around once or twice, by saying something akin to "Just Glass the middle east and be done with it." Granted WE'RE not politicians and constantly in the public eye...but frustration has a sinister habit of overriding common sense sometimes. I don't think he was serious, but it was still a stupid thing to say. I'm still amazed at Dubya, though. this country will stay the course...I just want to scream. Of COURSE we will, because we kinda screwed ourselves into staying it, huh?

As a side note, politicians with half a brain don't crack jokes about foreign policy fuckups [costing lives] because they first don't want to look callous, and second they fear the press and political opponents could take the joke out of its context to make the politician look like a bastard.

I am just wondering if Boydkin took him up on this idea, and actually ordered a massacure, some soldier refused to obey under the "Illegal Order" clause, and was promptly sent away for court martial, what would our international legal obligation be. Would we let the world court try Boydkin and Lott?

Likely I've been amassing a GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC, minus mecha, consisting entirely of clones of the great patriot Sergeant York for just such an eventuality.

Damn, that's depressing that Trent Lott is a shep clone....I know he has Rommel as his av, but I kinda plastered that face on the image of shep in my mind...now Trent Lotts ugly mug is going to be there...unless we can chalk him up to an abberation of the program, and all the others do, in fact, resemble Rommel.

The Nathan clones weren't quite ruthless enough to let the south truly rise again, so the Shep clones had to be made. The Shep you know is actually a clone, but Trent Lott is one of the 182 year old Shep clones. Didn't know cloning was that old, did ya?
