Was Count Dooku Really a bad Guy?(was he deceived by Palpy)

Now that I think of it was Dooku Really a bad Guy? Maybe he thought that the Jedi Order and the Republic were weak (and was disgusted by them) and thinking Sidious had good intentions, turned to the Dark Side and formed the Separatist movement. I mean wasn't Dooku considered an edgier version of Qui Gon? Maybe he thought his intentions were good for the Galaxy.

Powerful is the lure of the dark side. Perhaps Dooku was looking for a career advancement...but I don't think he would want to be Sidious' lackey for too long.

The guy's evil. Even if he believed the Republic was weak and in need of reform, he willingly helped Sidious play both sides and manufacture a civil war that will devastate the galaxy.

What ever else he was, Dooku has gone completely over to the Dark Side. The fact that he was able to weild Force Lightening proves that.

I don't think he went over with good intentions. If he had, I doubt he would be able to wield that kind of power.

Ok, Dooku called him Master Sidious. Do you think that is just because Sidious is more powerful, or do you think Sidious lured Dooku to the Dark side and trained him to become a Lord?

I think Dooko will bite it in the next movie, perhaps by the saber of the newly-born Vader who wants revenge for his severed hand...

I think it's pretty clear that Dooku is actually evil, and that he was not deceived into his actions. He had a choice.

I think Dooku is biding his time. He'll call Sidious his master for now but he'll wait for an opportune time to seize power for himself.

Plus, I thought Dooku looked like he nearly lost it a couple of times and went into full blown evil mode when he was talking with Obi-Wan. At times he looked like he was barely containing his fury. His facial expressions convinced me that he was definately into that whole dark side thing.

Also, going along with the whole arena execution thing was also a big of a give away. If he weren't evil he could have contrived to lose when all of the
Jedi arrived.
