Elections In Northern Ireland

It seems our elections are finally going ahead at the end of this month. This scares me. As i said in the Israel/Ireland thread Ireland was a different situation because the hard liners wheren't in power. After the elections this will change. The Democratic Unionist Party will gain the majority unionist vote. Sinn Fein will gain the Nationalist vote. This is bad. Neither of these two parties have tried to bring anything to the table. Sinn Fein make outragous demands while offering little. The DUP point refuse to occupy the same room as a Sinn Fein member. With the extremists in charge the political process will deadlock and the men on the street will once again take up violence. I really can see a full fledged civil war happening.

This is my home, every thing i love is here. It's a shame that through a series of spin doctoring and general bald faced lying the extreemists are about to get what they want, and all or nothing situation. I'll stay here untill it falls apart.
