Staying home, although I think I'll have to go out to get the mail and maybe some food.TrailerParkJawa wrote:

Actually I also go see my parents once a week so I'll get out at least then and of course there's some new movies coming out.
Basically I'm staying in Tucson.

I've just got home about 15 minutes ago.
Today, I've had my Political Theory midterm (for which I didn't study). After that, I've went for a walk in Central Park. As I was leaving, i've witnessed an accident (72d Street and 5th Avenue). An ambulance hit a taxi.
After that, I've met with a freind, and we went to see the theatrical release of Alien. Got my Matrix Reloaded tickets, too (For Wednesday, at 3:30 pm). After that, We've seen the Halloween parade thing (well, not really a parade, just a bunch of people riding bikes). The highlights in costumes include Jesus Christ (complete with a paper cross), Buddha, a guy with a Mad Cow Milk carton on his head, Captain America, a guy with a fish on his head, and two girls dressed as the Bride from Kill Bill (the black-an-yellow suit and a sword). We've also checked out the Toys 'R Us on Times Square. I've finally seen the new Unicron toy. That thing is BIG.
Then, we've stood on the corner of 42d Street and I told him a plot for a SF novel I came up with. The conversation was interrupted by discussions of the costumes of the passing-by females. We've also seen a fight: some black guys beating the shit out of each other. Both had a rather unpleasant encounter with the NYPD.
The only unpleasant thing about today was the fact that I didn't wear a costume. Oh well, there is always next halloween.
Have a very nice day.

I went to work and stacked empty pallets and cinderblocks all night. On the bright side, there's no candy at my house anyway, so I was spared the embarassment of giving away socks and magazines for Haloween.

Woke up, mucked around. Picked up my sister from her school and bought a tomato and hamburger buns on the return trip, which due to traffic took around two hours. Mucked around more, then started making hamburgers. Listened to my mother and my sister arguing about whether she was allowed to go to a halloween party. Given that my sister hasn't gotten her liscense yet, the outcome is obvious, which meant that her evening quickly went down the drain. Finally took the hamburgers in, despite my deliberately cooking them slow because my dad hasn't come home yet. After waiting quite a bit longer, I ate two hamburgers, along with some fries by myself, which takes alot of the fun out of eating grilled hamburgers. Waited for a bit for my youngest sister to get dressed in her Halloween costume, which more or less consisted of my other sister's dress she got from a Renaissance fair, and a randomly cheap headbead with ribbons we found someplace. (Which makes it quite possibly the laziest costume in our family, even topping the time I got hooded jacket, sunglasses, and a flashlight I shoved to the side of the hood. (While I can't really plan ahead more than a few hours too well, I can make up for some of it in bizaare creativity.) Incidently, someone thought I was dressing up as the Unabomber.) Walked my sister to around 5 houses in the neighborhood before she admits she feels a little sick. After wasting even more time in the house, she wants to go out for some more but this time wants me to stay at the mouth of the driveways. Got done with one subdivision before she decided to go back home. (In contrast, the rest of us were doing four or five larger subdivisions at that age.) After that, I started (and still am) playing a MUD (MOO, actually.)
Overall, considering the average and espically what it could've been, was rather disappointing. (Assuming of course that I have expectations of things, which I tend to lack.) Around this time last year, I was playing with a large bonfire while stuffing myself with free hot dogs and drinks, as well as catching a nap on a hayride. (Oddly enough, scaring people in both incidents without really even trying.)
Add-on, since it might qualify somewhat as mildly interesting and revalent to what people do around here : I suppose I could also mention that I also spent a little bit of time running a few pictures of the SE DS superlaser hitting Alderaan through some filters. More specially, I ran a series of screenshots against a difference (Takes the brighter of the pixels in the layers in question, and subtracts the darker value.) filter against a screenshot right before the superlaser hit and then greyscaling it in order to see the exact difference the event made. Unforunately, I'm feeling a bit lazy in terms of posting it, since I really don't feel like arguement/debate at the moment.
(EDIT : Added the Add-on.)

Socks and magazines? I don't think that would have gone over well with the kids' parents.so I was spared the embarassment of giving away socks and magazines for Haloween.

Car magazines, you pervert. You think I'm going to give away my pornography collection just because some little ragamuffin in a Scooby Doo mask pounds on my front door?HemlockGrey wrote:Socks and magazines? Well, socks. How am I supposed to associate socks with car magazines?

Because they're both a lame thing to get while trick or treating. "Here kid, have an auto parts catalog from 1996. Oh, what a scary little ghost--have some gym socks."HemlockGrey wrote:Well, socks. How am I supposed to associate socks with car magazines?

Spent the day in pirate costume, avasting and aharring through lectures and ordering food in character. Was rather amusing - spent the evening having people ask me if I was doing a Johnny Depp look a like stunt, which pleased me no end, and getting my picture taken with asian students who don't do the halloween thing, then spent two hours in a vomit soaked frat party with 2000 people, no non-alcoholic drinks, high temperatures, and barmen of varying degrees of unscrupulousness.
Oh, and wandered round various frat haunted houses which were all of the highest standard.

Utsano and I hung out. I only got home about an hour or so ago (around 2 AM), we were so busy playing Federation vs Zeon we lost track of time.
So, it was pretty fun... even though Alien didn't come out here...

Fairly uneventful. Deterred all but 2 trick or treater's with loud music, and i ignored them, so all is well.
Then i watched an awful vampire film till like 3 in the morning, where i suddenly realised i should've watched evil dead 2 on dvd. But then it was too late, watched bbc news 24 for a while, went to sleep.

Had a party on thursday. Some of the people on my floor in halls, who i've seen but never really had a chance to talk to , decorated the kitchenette and most of the people on our floor and some others came and played drinking games. Afterwards we went to one of the corner rooms (which are about twice as big as normal ones
) and talked a bit. Me and another guy played a bit of GTA:VC and then I went and got my Blackadder DVD's and we watched a bit of that. We quit ata bout half one as quite alot of people had to be up at 9. I had to be up for 12 ![Twisted Evil ](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)

It started off well, i had a good day at work. Bought myself some stuff at lunch time, some Hugo Boss aftershave and a scarf to match my big over coat. I came home to find my 2 god children ready to trick or treat, i was escorting them because kiddie fiddlers are rife at this time of year. I came home and helped them divide their spoils evenly. i was going to a party later that night and if you want to know the rest see the venting thread in the HoS.

Well right now i'm recovering from my hangover and normally that'd be a sign of a good celebration but this year was kind of meh. Got drunk, went to the theater (walked across the street, not driving) came back, got drunk some more, watched some movies (F13 part 8 and Halloween i believe) and thats about it. Nothing special really.
I'll swallow your soul!

Dressed up like Black Mage, went to a few parties. First party I got to play billiards with nothing but a strobe light to help me see. Second party I stole a girls bunny ears and wore them while watching 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'...which might I add is a pretty fucked up movie.

My college's anime club showed "The Dog of Flanders" very touching and sad. They did this because they showed Vampire Hunter D on Valentines day and they felt they had to balance their karma.
I went to the midnight Organ Pump. Where one of the organ teachers improvised the accompinement to the original Nosferatu silent film as they did in the old days of silent film.

I spent my favorite holiday broke down in my car for about 3 hours.
I had two makeups lined up for yesterday, but both cancelled. I was all set to turn one dude into a great Rob Zombie! Dammit. Halloween sort of snuck up on e this year. I'd usually go to a few "haunts" people built, or do makeups. My resume wasn't picked up by the local Halloween warehouse this year, however.

A black hood tucked into my blue robes, I can see through the fabric but you can't see me. That's how I got the black, for the yellow eyes I cut out some yellow fabric and sewed it onto the black about where my cheeks were, then pulled my hat down to about eye level so the low eyes wouldn't look wierd.Chardok wrote:How did you get the "nothing under the hat but blackness and yellow/red eyes like a jawa" thing to work?
