Could someone help me to fix this extremely annoying problem or point me in the right direction for help? The Google gods don't know about anything of this nature except if it involves a Windows emu under Linux. WTF?
EDIT: I have a sneaky suspicion that it's a disk corruption issue (which means it was caused by the goddamn power spikes and brownouts in this POS apartment!) so I'll reboot and hope CHKDSK finds and fixes it...
