I would take the combined knowledge of Data and Dr.Crusher 25 hours to realize that all tey had to do was turn the lights on really bright. By that time everybody is dead.

Given the durability and engeneering of an ST ship, that ought to take care of them right there--they successfully turn off the lights, and the ship blows up...I mean, it does that for everything else...

First, they screw with the holodeck, and make an unstoppable army of illusions that somehow kill people. Its called a circuit breaker. It helps to turn the power off when murderous holograms are rampaging through your ship, and turning off the lights.
