Because I would like to know how old you are, as you seem to have no spine or ability to handle criticism without feeling that you must defend yourself rather than just accept that your original choices were poor. When you become difficult, that's when we become frustrated.

Under 10?! Well, that certainly explains QUITE a lot then. And you ASKED for a review.. notice how some reviews give D's and F's very much like your report card?Holtzman wrote:What if I said under 10? Would that make you feel better? What does that have to do with senseless insult.
But since you're under 10 let me review it again.. still quite sucks, but for under 10.. wow, I'm impressed.

It doesn't matter how old you are. What matters is that you constructed your website without paying any attention to the comfort level of your readers, and you actually resisted what was initially constructive criticism of that mistake.Holtzman wrote:What if I said under 10? If you're under ten, then I think you've violated the Terms of Service, which IIRC, state that you must be 13 to join.
Ten? You can't be serious? But it would explain a lot...

Not bad. About the only thing I can say against is that it seems a bit "busy".
I know it's not a professional website, but generally keeping a basic color scheme with about 2-3 colors (1 for general text, 1 for important text/highlights, and another for headings/links) is enough. Also, having a single image, rather than tiled images as a background tends to help the overall appearance. Though the appearance of a site depends totally on the tastes of the webmaster/developer and these are simply my thoughts. Looks pretty good overall though.

Kid, you want to play with the grownups, you play by grownup rules. If you're going to go cry when you ask for criticism and you actually get it, nobody's going to miss you.Holtzman wrote:I'll go away if you want. I think I might anyway. Not interested anymore. Have a good life. Sorry.

The text colors need to contrast if you want something readable~
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
Not criticism, that i am fine with. Just tired and bored. That's all. Going away for a while.RedImperator wrote:Kid, you want to play with the grownups, you play by grownup rules. We should have a great many fewer disputes in the world if words were taken for what they are, the signs of our ideas, and not for things themselves.

I initially did not concern myself with your age because I assumed you were at least 13, but if you're actually less than 10 years old, you're not supposed to be posting on this board at all. How old are you?

So playing games with forum members is supposed to alleviate that boredom?Stop criticising me wrote:Not criticism, that i am fine with. Just tired and bored. That's all. Going away for a while.
I'm bored and tired and fucked up all the time, but I don't take it out on everyone as if I was, say, Luke Perry
Connection refused. Damn.

I never said I was under 10. I merely said would it make you feel better. Tsk tsk. But than again where does it say that....

Thanks. I take all comments super seriously.
Main site: The little black text has absolutely no contrast whatsoever compared to the background image, making it difficult to read. The red text is also very difficult to read.
Ironically, the green text is comparatively easy to read against that background.
And a word about that background. Is that yours? I see a bit of watermark that's been cut off. If it isn't yours, then you'd better credit the original artist.

I will. thanks for the comments. But they're the exact same ones 5 times now. no more please. Unless its completely new.

Not to encourage a flame war or the baiting of Spanky here, but I found all that slightly amusing, a reminder that the internet isnt quite as trusting and innocent as we like to believe...

Well, it did seem that it had a chance of heading that way... I'm quite happy to be wrong...

Look buddy, if you're going to ask a bunch of random strangers to critique your site, then you can't exactly expect them to treat you with kid gloves. But you can expect them to be frank and honest about what they think.
And if five people complain about the exact same point, then that should be a hint that there might be something worth fixing there, instead of whining about it.
