Which presents the following breakdowns of anti-semitic activity in the world for 2001;

Graph 3

Which shows the amount of major attacks around the world. Western Europe has 27 (54%) and North America has 12 (24%).

Also you could show;

Graph 7

Which shows the major violent incidents, WE has 82 (46%) and North America has 30 (17%).

If you were to go by country specific;

Graph 2 for major attacks

and

Graph 6 for major violent incidents

Both show that the UK is the worst offender!

So my point is, does that mean that I am twice as anti-semitic than you Stravo? Does that I mean I hate Jews twice as much as you?

Or more reasonably, is it possible that I have a few more nut-cases in my region than you? And it would be a mistake to paint with a broad brush on this point?

A more comprehensive analysis can also be found on this web site, for 2002/2003 here. It shows an alarming increase in anti-semtism world wide, but even here it defines anti-semtism as critisism of Israel (including protesting against war), which if you will is the issue at hand, no?

My opinions on the wall, in general (either on the green line or where ever) is that it is a bad idea. It promotes segragation and will only keep both sides anamosity up.

However, there is just so many times you can be expected to hug a corcodile, before you just go; fuck it, I am putting a fence between us.

Any peace process in the region is doomed to failure until both Arafat and Sharon are gone. Both are too damn dogmatic, stubborn, and personally wrapped up in this (as well as their own images) to be useful. The Palestinians are not getting a democratic government at all thanks to Arafat's continued backstabbing...

Syria needs to get out of Lebanon, and if the other Arab nations devoted as much resources to their own people as they do to hating Israel, the Arab lands would be first-world contenders instead of slums. Israel needs to stop screaming 'antisemitism' at every legitimate criticism, too.

It's a difference between being antisemitic, and dislinking the state Israel.
Are they a threat to world peace? Their policies in the middle east aren't helping it, at least in that limited geographical scope. It might be a tad extreme to blow it up to those proportions.

The policies of Israel are occasionally...questionable. But to scream "ANTISEMITE" whenever you point out that those decisions aren't smelling like roses is just idiotic.

Israels action indirectly "support" terrorism around the world. Terrorism is a worldwide problem. The same can be said about Iraq, Iran , Pakistan, Afganistan and the US. North Korea is able to hit several important economies in Asia.

Israel (the area) is the biggest threat to world peace at the moment.
North Korea aren't stupid enough to try anything big right now.
The USA has its war in Iraq to bother with, so they won't break stability for a while. Unless something happens in the Israel area. That area is a hotspot waiting to ignite into an inferno.

Should Israel make a move against the Arab world other than what they usually do or if the Arabs decide that Israel should be removed it'll spark a war. A big one. And, of course, USA will have to help its ally in need. So, in theory it IS the biggest threat to world peace at the moment. Just because it's so very unstable down there.

And, no. I don't hate Jews (Even though I'm from Denmark). Although the constant reports of attacks and counter attacks coming from down there are getting tiresome. I'd give the Israelians one thing. A little less publicity wouldn't hurt.

Hmmm, let's see. Egypt is currently at peace with Israel, as is Jordan. Syria's still technically at war, but they've learned that fucking with Israel is a horrible idea. Looking towards Damascus from the Golan's pretty scary from the Syrian point of view. Lebanon, well, it's under Syrian control. Now, pray tell, who's going to be going to war?

Really? Wasn't Denmark the country where the King himself wore a yellow star when ordered to make the Jews wear them? I recall that only 70 Jews out of the entire population were ever killed in the Holocaust, what happened?

Only a few where caught, in part thanks to the local German army commander refusing to help the SS round them up but mainly because of the evacuation effort, the Danes moved there entire Jewish population, over 8000 people, across by boat to Sweden.
