Reciprocity, of course. You've just tarriffed our tarrif-making, so we in turn do the same. Since the HAB has not greatly begun trading with the Star Kingdom except to ship some goods through the Gate as needed, we assume this discussion is mostly theoretical, yes?

But then your tarrif's will automatically cause an increase in our tarrif's, and the reciprocation will rapidly spiral until your computer system can no longer handle all the zeros and crash, destroying your economy. Our plan is without flaw; do not tempt its implementation.phongn wrote:

If they serve our needs, we shall buy more. We are simply doing good business by evaluating the product first. The HAB has little interest in selling single examples to nation states.
We would of course be willing to buy a larger quantity for our Merchant fleet based in Antaris if you insist on bulk purchases.

We would like to purchase enough to outfit our ships with them; they range from 16 kilometers down to one. We would also like to know what is the largest object they can move. There are several space habits that we would like to make mobile.
But our computers are more than capable of handling that many zeros. Our intelligence data are pointing to the fact that your marchines might get a buffer overflow in the end result of that.Sea Skimmer wrote:But then your tarrif's will automatically cause an increase in our tarrif's, and the reciprocation will rapidly spiral until your computer system can no longer handle all the zeros and crash, destroying your economy. Oh yes, the Star Kingdom's Ministry of Trade would like to purchase an initial order of 2000 sails for modified light freighters with ten-year comprehensive support contracts and an option to purchase 500 more.

How am I filth by activating a shield when you go for a pistol my friend? Or is it that I do not buy into your "humans are superior" claptrap? No one race is superior to any other, save n their abilit to survive, and seeing as we are all space-faring, we are all on relativly level evolutionary footing.

Hmm... The PRC would be quite interested in outfitting one flight of bulk freighters with this new propulsion system, for evalutation purposes. If we consider the evaluation, we most likely outfit at least the remainder of the class with these sails.Sea Skimmer wrote:The HAB has little interest in selling single examples to nation states.Alyrium Denryle wrote:

Your entire fleet you mean? Excellent, you will see not only a healthy discount but promt delivery from such an order.Stormbringer wrote: We would like to purchase enough to outfit our ships with them; they range from 16 kilometers down to one. As for the size limitations. Shape can become very important. You see a given area of sail can provide only a fixed amount of propulsive power. The currents of the Hyperwarp vary little in strength.
This means you must add ever more sails and masts for them as the ship gets larger in mass. A 16-kilometer warship is within reasonable sailing capability, but a very large space habit may have a very unfavorable mass to surface area ratio, requiring much taller masts. Taller masts add cost. But we are confident we can move anything man made that currently travels the space lanes or orbits a celestial body.

Excellent. Naturally we would like to do the actual installation, with any necessary insistance. We look forward to doing business with you. Should this prove effective we will definitely begin purchasing it for merchant vessels as well.Sea Skimmer wrote:Your entire fleet you mean? We are thing of a roughly ellipsoid body around fifty to sixt kilometers in diameter.

The Aquarian Union has a request of all human powers... We have been searching through the records provided to us when we first made contact. We have come across a species known commonly as the "Dolphin". Despite the parallel evolution on both our homeworlds, nothing resembling these creatures has ever developed on our homeworld, and they show to much promise to deny the gift of full sentience.
If any human powers managed to preserve this magnificient mammal, their niche has been left completly open on our hmeworld since the war, and we would love to give them sentience and a proper home in the sprawling oceans.
We have taken into account the economic impact of such a relocation and have determined hat the risk is non-existant.

Heh, your very presence is an offense to all that is good and holy. That you continue your lies damns you doublely. You know you speak heresy, foul thing, yet you persist. Very well, delivery can begin within the month, and will be completed in a further four. In these hard times payment may be monetary or raw material, the total is estimated at 300 million. Expensive, but aside from replacing the occasional torn sail or strained mast they cost little to nothing to operate.Stormbringer wrote: Excellent. That should be doable if the spaceframe will hold, but it would be preferable if a team could examine one before we make any contract commitments.

Very good. Would you like installation within HAB dockyards or your own? The cost if you opt to do your own work under supervision will be 20 million.Oh yes, the Star Kingdom's Ministry of Trade would like to purchase an initial order of 2000 sails for modified light freighters with ten-year comprehensive support contracts and an option to purchase 500 more.

It is only heresy when one is a believer in your religion.
I see that your religious beliefs are contrary to observed biology. How well, pray, would your species survive on an aquatic planet wthout machinery to aid you? What in your human biology allows you to survive in an aquatic niche?
On the other hand, we would do most poorly on the grasslands that your species evolved on.
No one species is inherently better than another.

OOC: Remember, these sails work like real life sails, which means under there power your going to be slow, even with acceleration for an unlimited period being possibul, and you have to tack the ship.

The Star Kingdom would prefer to have 1000 light freighters equipped at HAB, 750 equipped at the Tranquility Yards and the remaining two hundred fifty sent to the University of Engima and the Nemesis Testing Grounds for various testing and research purposes.
While your ships have safely traverssed the Nemesis Wormhole before, the effects are not very well known and we would like to conduct more extensive tests.

We are not overly familiar with your currency units but we will make whatever arrangements are necessary
If you could provide the necessary information on the stresses invovled we will make the decision. The habitats are of a rather sensitive nature and we need to be careful about that information. That should be doable if the spaceframe will hold, but it would be preferable if a team could examine one before we make any contract commitments.
