I think the deadline of the 15th is fine where it is, especially considering I got majorly sidelined by quite a few things that prevented me from working on my project with any frequency this week.

I don't see what would restrict us from having the October contest end halfway through the November contest.

Doesnt the winner of the October Contest pick the theme for the November contest? Cuz thats what I thought we were doing.

Nah, that allows for too much freedom. ;)

Personally, I would rather have the new themes be chosen by the general group or maybe a Council of Experts.

You mean like that episode of Who's The Boss where Tony sees Angela Naked in the Shower?

no, but if I ever did watch Whos the Boss, that would probably be the one id end up watching out of sheer coincidence.

This is what I'm thinking about entering. I've got multiple variations of this, and I'm working on a few other pieces so I might change my mind, and enter something else.

Edit: I Took my picture off, because I think I'm going with another one.

OK, here's my half-assed attempt at a Halloween themed picture, using a low-res wolfman from 3Dtotal.com and a free hair plugin that comes with Lightwave. I sharpened up the big guys features a little, redid his surfaces and split him into his constituent parts so that I could at least pose him better. I then added the rest of the crap to the scene, a mix of my own objects and standard ones that come with Lightwave. It's not brilliant, I had big plans but as usual I was too busy pissing around with other stuff to give it a hearty attempt, so this is what we get. Enjoy anyway...

Nice. Lighten it up a bit and get a new host. I can barely see it, plus villagephotos is extremely unfriendly about remote linking. They don't close the connecton or refuse it, they just let it time out. Assholes!

It's that picture on the wall to the left that's scariest.

To remind everyone, the deadline is midnight of the 15th. I'll get the polls up sometime after that.

So it's separate 2D and 3D categories. Is that fine with everyone?
