Not quite.

Some effects were honestly nice and the Flying in particular was good....they aren't somehow effects that I cannot see duplicated or enhanced.

It's good, but they are not the end all be all.

OK, I've not seen the film yet and I've got some guy claiming that the creative idiocy found in the trilogy (humans as a power source) is finally proven wrong in Revolutions. Is this true, or is it BS?

If anything, it's sort of implied that the energy that they're taking is some kind of dragonballz-ki type stuff.

Well, I finaly saw it and I must confess that I wasn't dissapointed, I expected crap and that is precisely what I got and loads of it too.

Now I would have loved Reloaded when I was twelve, i would have though that it was the greatest movie ever, end of all movies, movie of movies Etc. (Un)Fortunately I'm about twice that old now and I am having a hard time coming up with the words to explain how much I hated this movie, but I think I'll just cut to my biggest complaint: Reloaded was, much to my surprise, boring.

Niobe flying that hovercraft thingy through those tunnels while being chased by the squid thingies on a mission to ave Zion. Oh, the suspense, are they going to make it, are they just going make it or are they just barely going to make it? I'm so excited.

Stupid mache thingies fighting the equaly stupid aquid thingies in Zion. Mecha blast loads of squids to bit's... Squids get a couple of the mecha... Macha blast some more squids... Squids get a few more mecha... Mecha still blast more squids... Etc. Boring! Oh, I quite forgot, the kid that volunteered, but was nearly kicked out for being too young, saved the day, I'm sure no one saw that coming.

And then we come to the Superman Vs. Bizarro fight or it was the Neo Vs. Agent Smith fight? They punch and kick and fly and slam each other through buildings and pavement and this all goes on for far too long. Seriously the fight could have been replaced by 10 minute long arm wrestling mach between Neo and Smith, it would have been about as interresting to watch and it would have given more opportunities to throw those deep and meaningfull and ever so witty one liners at each other.

I just got back from the movie, and I have to say I really liked it. The machines seemed to have a really strong creepy arthropod vibe; it wasw there in the other movies too, but it was like a million times more here. The chase with Niobe and the sentinels went on too long, but everything else was nicely paced. Revolutions seemed to move a lot faster than Reloaded, maybe because they kept all the boring stuff in the beginning instead of spreading it out throughout the entire thing. Let's see, what else...

Oh yeah, the Smith/Neo fight. Truly, it boggles the mind that anyone could not like that. I've seen it compared to X/1999 elsewhere; having not had the opportunity to see that yet, I'll have to go with the overtired Dragonball comparisons. I don't consider that an insult. Dragonball is the most popular anime in history for a reason, you know.

So yeah, it was awesome. Not quite the best movie of the year, but unless there's a big surprise in the winter definitley in my personal top five.
Don't hate; appreciate!

RIP Eddie.

Sazae-san would be more likely the most popular anime in history, actually.

I've never seen an episode of Dragonball Z so is it okay for me to like the final Neo vs. Smith fight? :D Although I would have prefered that Neo kicked Smith's ass a little more instead of the other way around.

At the very least it puts something on the screen that any future superhero movies will have to shoot for (hopefully to exceed).

Actually while watching that fight I was thinking "How cool would this be if this was in a Superman movie?"

It keeps making me think of Superman II. :D

Now wouldn't it have been cool if Smith had been thrown through a Coke sign. 8)

This fucking shit film violates the internal logic of it's own universe as well as blowing in terms of realism. Let's review:

1. Neo acts as if he can't comprehend machines loving each other. Hello? Matrix Reloaded? The French guy and Monica Belluci? You were fucking standing there when she was talking about love!

2. Incredibly bad dialog. EVERYTHING was delivered in that shocking, pretentious Matrix sermon shit, with the dramatic pauses between replies and the very severe looks. Oh, and about Trinity: worst death speech EVER! Just fucking DIE!

3. The defense of Zion was a fucking joke in all departments. Especially those dumb arse mecha, and the even dumber Sentinels.

4. The use of guns by the ship. Talk about making the entire end of the Matrix (i.e. the race to get out before setting off the EMP) completelty pointless.

5. Neo's a moron. Bane's sitting there calling him Mr Anderson and he just doesn't get it.

6. What a good idea to leave the potential traitor whoose displayed signs of mental instability in the room with the scalpels and a doctor!

High points:

- Monica Belluci's tits. And I mean HIGHHHHHHHHHHHH. No pun intended.

Damn lack of edit fucktion. It appears I had a brain fart last night. Replace "Reloaded" with "Revolutions" in my previous post.

Indeed, her tits are the best part of the movie, infact I wish the entire movie was about her tits. See linky and you'll understand.

You must have had another brain fart, because I don't think we're supposed to post links to porn sites.

Was more refering to the ads that appear on the site, though, which I think are still covered by most rules.

If that site is out of bounds, IMHO that would be pretty silly, some mod is going to have to remove the link, I can't because there is no edit function in this forum.

Where *are* those porn rules ... all this time as a mod and I can't even find em ... I think it may relate to explicit pictures posted here rather than a link to a site with lots of pictures of celebrities, nearly all with their clothes on.

Fine, your call. I'm not going to persue further, otherwise I'll just get sweared at and accused of trying to play mod.

Well, you're still wrong about Dragon Ball Z being the most popular anime in history. :P

Well, the ship does have to be grounded while Neo was in the Matrix, but Trinity could've still manned the guns or gun (Morpheus was charging the EMP, and Tank had to guide Neo as Operator).
