subjugation in a game

Post by Shrykull »

The only game I know know where you can have slaves is RA2- yuri's revenge, the mining slaves, is there any one where you can perhaps subjugate entire civilizations?
It would be cool if after beating one your enemies in a multi player game, you could enslave them and put them to work for you- free of charge, just you'd need overseers and guards, mind control would make it easier, and cheaper.

Space Empires IV, after a fashion. You can "force" other races into subjegation treaties, where you essentially enslave their civilization to yours. You can also "force" other races to surrender unconditionally to you, where they become a part of your empire wholesale, rather than just subject to numerous taxes and restrictions.
Do not meddle in the affairs of insomniacs, for they are cranky and can do things to you while you sleep.

Dungeon Keeper, Warcraft 2, Wing Commander Privateer.

Yep, you could use, or at least sell slaves in Privateer. What happens is you are allowed to tractor beam in expelled cargo after a battle. Some times enemies manage to eject. If you happen to scoop them up, you are allowed to sell them as slaves.

Civilization III let you raze cities to the ground and use the surviving population as free workers - i.e. slaves.

The Civilization: Call to Power series has always had a slaver unit, which could capture citizens from enemy cities and force them into slavery.

Master of Orion 2... you had many options for captured populations, though I generally chose "exterminate".

Well you can sell your crew into slavery in Star Control II.

That may not be using slaves, but that's still kind of funny.

If you gain a superior military than some co-players in massive multiplayer, you make them your bitch for fear of getting annhilated.

Tropico 2: Pirate Cove. Your entire working population is made up of captives who get treated like shit and fed some kind of corn goop. The pirates can either travel on ships, guard stuff or act as overseers of unskilled labor. (whipping a shipwright while he's writting down plans isn't probably such a good idea)

There's a tropico 2? News to me.

Alyeska, you sure you didn't mean Warcraft III? I don't remember any slaves in II.

Dark Riegn had a fairly funny unit that ran infantry over and automatically lobotomised them, strapped a bomb to their backs and created 'suicide zombies.'

Yes, I've noticed that if you choose to be a Slaver in the begginning parts of Fallout 2, then you won't be able to enter or find the Sierra Army Depot, which is worth it just for the holodisks in there alone, IMO, not to mention the other cool stuff that can be found and taken from there.

It's simple you just join them and do the porn work after you have done the first job for the Wrights....

Also if you work for Vault City as a slaver you can get the gear without the problems.

yeah exactly, if you join the slaver's guild after you have done the first mission for the wright family, and then say perform some hits for the salvatores, and mordinos, do some porn work and kill some inocents dammit your evil enough to join the slaver's guild, besides, Vault city gives you more money for allocating servents to them.
