i need help!

Post by Col. Crackpot »

I downloaded the original Master of Orion game, and i am trying to run it from a command prompt (my current operating system is win 2000) when i try to run the game i get this dos error message:

you must have at least 1024 K of expanded memory

now i vaguely remember the qhole concept of conventional, expanded and extended memory (god that was years ago) and having to run a command called memmaker back in 199-? when i orginally had the game to manipulate the memory system.... but i cant find this app in win 2000! anyone know how i can manipulate the expanded memory from a command prompt?

there is another way. Go into the properties for the executable and change the memory settings. make sure all the EMS/XMS memory settings are on auto.
